Going on form, and the fact that everyone has agreed of late that Pogba, Herrera and Carrick have been excellent together. That everyone including yourself have been shouting for Miki to start after his two performances in Europe and against West Ham, just where would Mata fit into this team?

Looking at yesterday's line up, I can't see where he would go in? Perhaps dropping Martial? Would you have Mata in for Herrera and play him as a deep lying midfielder next to Carrick?

I need to watch the highlights from yesterday before I can really comment, though listening to the second half on the radio, Everton didn't do anything at all to warrant the draw they got.

Green and Savage, we know are not exactly United fans, but from the comments Rojo should have gone? Apart from that I didn't hear anything to suggest he had a bad game, but I'm guessing from comments he did?

It didn't sound as if we played at all well, but neither did they is that true?

Gary Neville had Jones as contender for MOTM behind the actual MOTM.

Thats all you need to know! And im a fan of Jones!

I wonder how much money Wenger has spent for so little success in his time at Arsenal, where is the criticism there about him?
He has never won a European trophy, only reached one final, and his hayday was in the 90's and early 2000's.
Yet José has consistently won the top trophies wherever he has gone, but because he has spent money to achieve that, it is a negative aspect??

You can find a fair few negative aspects to José, but money isn't one of them.

I wouldn't mind giving that a try, put Miki on the left, Mata right, Pogba, Herrera and Carrick in the middle, be interesting to see how that would pan out.

Pogba is not undroppable. I've defended him but he was the worst player in a United shirt yesterday, Fellaini aside. I hope Jose tore through him but something tells me he won't have.

I doubt Carrick will be playing two games a week tbh.So next game he can slot in for him. Before anyone says anything about Zlatan he's a completely different beast and doesn't show his age imo.

Why did Mata not come on instead of Fellani? We can't defend a lead so why not bring on someone who can at least score a goal which the majority of our team are failing to do.

De Gea, Mata and Valencia should be first on the team sheet. If that means dropping a few big names to accommodate them so be it.

Gary Neville in favouring an English player shocker. Maybe that's why he turned a blind eye to Rooney's poor form when other neutral pundits were highlighting it? Or he did not want to criticise a mate?

I don't think he was on board with De Gea until it became blindingly obvious how good he had become.

Lost a lot of respect for Neville as a pundit tbh.

I suppose we could rest Carrick for the Europa League match, since it is a bit if a trek, and we only need a point to qualify, therefore he could be ready to play against his old club.

I would add Bailly to your list of players who should be first on the team sheet now that he is seemingly over his injury.

I decided to go on Pogba Watch yesterday and concluded the thing he clearly lacks is any sense of urgency. He strolled through the game - but not in a good way. Seems to do things at his own leisure rather than impose himself on the game by putting himself about or making lung-busting runs (for himself or others). If United are to add dynamism to their play (Mhitaryan certainly helps there) then Pogba needs to contribute to that or it won't work. If Doctor Frankenstein could build a single player with Henderson;s ebergy and Pogba's technique he'd have created that £90m player!

Both Green and Savage praised Pogba yesterday, saying he played well. Not dazzling 90 million well, but well. Far better than he has done, doing the job he was asked to do.

As for Mata playing in Carrick's role, forget it. He isn't the type of player to play that role, we'd be torn to ribbons in the middle of the park were that to happen. I also don't think he's disciplined enough either and would get lost far to often. That's not saying he hasn't been effective so far this year, but in that role no way.

He should play in the number 10 role.

I actually thought yesterday was Pogba's worst game for a while.

I'm sure he'll be delighted to be leaving Old Trafford as a winner like he used to.

Was there any need for such a post?

Why be so aggressive?

Agree but there was worse yesterday than his strolling. Only saw the second half but it was his inability to keep the ball with misplaced passes or trying too many crowd-pleasing dribbles that irritated me. His play generally is a reflection of our league form - bags of potential but lacking end product.

It's good that Pogba is clearly not short on confidence but sometimes you have to rein in the flash for the good of the team. I reckon SAF would have hauled him off like he used to do with Giggs early doors when he kept giving the ball away in CL matches.

I can only guess Green and Savage were drinking something stronger than tea to keep the cold out. Even when Pogba did track back and win the ball he'd promptly give it away again.

I say it again, I hope Jose realises that the only effective replacement for Carrick is Blind.
