No, of course it doesn't and it is genuinely insane to claim that.”

Love how Jones is performing recently and Rojo has also done well.

Yeah, they've both been excellent. I'd have been happy to see either sold in the summer but I'm pretty glad they weren't now.

That was possibly Rojo's best ever game for United. He's a decent enough CB, just not a LB.

People have in the past slated Jones and Rojo, interesting how if a manager who has a good reputation when it comes to making teams defensively sound, turns them into good defenders, perhaps a certain other manager might want to have a quiet word or two with José, about how to improve a player or two over a relative short space of time?

Anyway, we have gained points on City, Liverpool and Spurs this gameweek, so that is quite a good way to start this Christmas run of games.

Great win with some very good performances - Darmian aside, I thought we looked strong all over the park today. Special mentions go to Miki and Rojo, who probably played his best ever game in a United shirt - reminded me of Vidic at times.

But I thought the season was effectively over and you should be playing the kids every week from now till next May to give them experience?
Oh sorry that was last week. One win later and the chase is on again.

It hasn't changed (all that much anyway), we are still very much relying on others to continue to drop points, and for ourselves to win our games when and if they do.

Decent enough stuff from us, today.

Rojo was my man of the match, but we're still not taking enough of our chances.

Thought the booing by some 'fans' towards Fellani was piss poor tbh.

Considering the dignified silences when Moyes was turning our club into a laughing stock when we were getting battered by some of our rivals at OT.

I remember Nani getting the same treatment before he left.

I understand the frustration but it's sad when it comes to that.

The lack of a second goal, is really becoming very puzzling and worrying, as it has cost us points in previous games, and although it didn't today, it will continue to do so.
So we really need to score multiple goals and pronto if we are to have any more of a hope or prayer of getting close to those top four places.

Hopefully Palace and their porous defence will oblige in our next match.

I don't know about anyone else, but I still get excited about cup draws that we are involved in, so I am looking forward to seeing who we draw in the next round of the Europa League today!

I agree, it's not fair on the bloke. He always tries his best, and has never caused any off-pitch issues.

That said, I can understand fans booing a managerial decision, to an extent. The problem is that there's no way to differentiate between booing the player, or booing the decision.

Probably best to just shut up, and get on with actually supporting the team.

Booing a player or a managers decision never has ended well, or helped a team out, so why do it??

To me it makes zero sense, just support your own team, and make them want to do well and play for the club, putting them down doesn't help their confidence one iota.

People who boo are just plain in the wrong.

I totally disagree with the no booing idea. Fans can voice the displeasure at players or managers booing, it doesn't help, but it does at least let the players and manager know they are dissatisfied, which can inspire them to do better or they can let it effect them. Either way fans have a right and more so if they are at the game to boo if they wish.

I agree the boo boys can hinder the careers of players as I personally feel that Barthez, Howard and Carroll were left as shells of themselves by both the fans and media, before they left us. All of them thankfully resurrected there careers, others wouldn't be able to.

So it is the battle of the Pogba brothers, hopefully our one will come out on top!

Looking forward to those two games, as I think the last time we played them was in Plymouth or something like that in the 70's!

Monchengladbach v Fiorentina and Villarreal v Roma are two of the other ties, so a couple of the better sides left in it will go out at least.

It's an easy one in terms of travel. I was in Saint Etienne in the summer for the Euros, the stadium is decent but there's not a lot else there so I suspect most will be heading to Lyon which is only an hour away by train. Worth noting that the away leg will be on the Wednesday, as Lyon are at home on the Thursday and they can't clash due to UEFA rules.

I am looking forward to that Roma tie, as it is two impressive sides going against each other.

How do you remember stuff like that from before you were even born??? I'm hard pushed to remember our results from last year.

It is just one of those funny little things that sticks in my head, as it is not often that we have a home European game in Plymouth!

To be honest I remember more our results from our treble year then last season, it just all depends on what gets lodged in there!

Totally disagree - spectators voicing their opinion is a time honoured tradition going back centuries. At least we don't get the life or death thumbs up/down choice these days!
I am allowed to say if I disagree with something and the only way in a crowd is to boo. I would much rather cheer my team on, but I do defend the right of those who wanted to make their displeasure known

Agree with both you and Tribec on this one. However, I think it's worth pointing out that the boos for Felliani were drowned out by louder applause pretty quickly. During most of these three years in the wilderness the fans at matches have been very supportive.

I think it's more of a bug bear with me when you consider how lenient some of our fans were with Moyes.

The plane stunt aside, he got away quite lightly, even Van Gaal was booed on more than one occasion especially during that really bad spell in December last season.

Why did fans remain quiet when we were getting embarrassed and breaking all sorts of records but on Fellani's back for a poor decision that led to a penalty?

Rojo could have easily seen red in that game early on and was shirt pulling again yesterday. Where were his boos? Rashford was at fault imo for Arsenals goal a few weeks ago? Seems some can get away with far more than others.

Fellani gets more grief for being Fellani than the idiot who bought him.
