The Telegraph are now claiming to know the four players that Mourinho wants, over the next two transfer windows.

Griezmann, Lindelof, Benfica right-back Nelson Semedo, and Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Don't know how much of that is guesswork (Lindelof looks pretty certain, lots of noise about Griezmann), but it makes sense in terms of the positions.

Bloody hell batdude. The guy has just put in big bolded letters that he has no interest in conversing with you and is ignoring you and the very next post from him you reply to it. No wonder you're getting up people's noses. This fascination you seem to have with replying to absolutely everything needs to stop.
He might not want to reply to my posts, which is fair enough, but then why cannot I reply to his?

What is wrong with that?

I honestly don't mean to get up anyones noses at any time ever, I am only here to talk about football.

I must admit to only really knowing about Griezmann, the rest I haven't seen in action, so if they do come, then I will trust Jose with regards to them, as I hadn't really seen Bailly before, and now he is a key player for us.

I only know Griezmann, so Google's telling me who the others are.

I'm guessing the Lindelof thing will happen in January to cover the absence of Bailly. Google says he's Swedish, so the papers will make the connection between him and Ibrahimovic.

Tiemoue Bakayoko is a DM, so if either or both of Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger go in January, he could be their replacement. Or, if not him, another DM. If journalists know they're on their way out you'll be linked with all sorts of defensive midfielders. I wouldn't be surprised if Schneiderlin goes to Everton in January. Maybe you'll get him after that happens, with the money from that transfer.

Griezmann and the RB will be summer targets, I'm guessing. Griezmann, definitely, the RB, I'm guessing they'll try in January but will settle for getting him (or another RB) in the summer.

Yeah, you make some good points about the timings of any potential deals, selling both Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger (and maybe even Fellaini) would leave us light in the central midfield area, so bringing in another player to play in that area would be sensible, and one that José trusts, as it does seen obvious that he doesn't like or trust those two players (and maybe Fellaini as well).

I can see Everton being in for both Schneiderlin and Memphis, both perhaps on permanent deals, as it does seem neither have a future here under José, I can see both doing well there.

They've already got quotes from Ibrahimovic about Lindelof!

I vaguely remember him from the Euros. Don't recall him particularly standing out, to be honest. Probably a good thing for a centre-half.

I'd assume that the others will all be summer targets, if they're targets at all.

At this stage Memphis has looked so out of sorts and off the pace that I'd be surprised if a premier league club come in for him on a big money/high wages offer

I agree about them being summer targets, I think José will be looking to get the players that he is no longer interested in out of the door in January, before starting a squad rebuild in the summer, with players that he believes in.
We could see players like Young, Schneiderlin, Memphis, and Fellaini, all depart, without seeing players being brought in to replace them properly until the summer, which I think makes sense.

I thought so! He'll have played with Zlatan in the Euros, so he'll know him.

If he's the one that you could be signing for £36m+ in January, rather than waiting until the summer, then yeah you'll sign him in January. First as cover, but you don't spend that kind of money on someone to simply warm Bailly's spot on the first team. Or, to put it another way, you don't spend Andy Carroll money for someone to warm another kid's spot while he's away.

The others, Griezmann's an obvious summer target. The DM could be signed in January if Schneiderlin goes, whether it's him or someone else. I imagine the right back (or, rather, a right back) will be a summer target, with Darmian going the other way.

I think both Schneiderlin and Memphis could do well at Everton. Schneiderlin was already good at Southampton, and Memphis might do better without the pressure on him. That's assuming Everton can start playing football again, too.

Ibra has already said good things about the cebtreback, but it is a good point, quite where he will fit in, I don't know, as we have a fair amount of good defenders already here, so presumably he isn't being brought in to not play, so it is a question of who gets dropped to accommodate him?
Jones and Rojo have been doing well since they came together, with Smalling being out of the side, perhaps it will be him to leave in the summer?
Either way, someone will be getting less game time, I just don't quite know who at this stage!

Nice to see we agree about the pair that Everton are possibly interested in doing well there, Schneiderlin perhaps more than Memphis, but with a fresh start, and a manager who believes in him, then who knows, he might come out of his shell somewhat.

Personally I would prefer the lad at Dortmund, Aubamayang, to Griezmann, but that is not to say the latter would not be a very good signing, as I think k he would be.

Sigh.....You have zero self awareness dont you. No wonder you dont realise why you are annoying so many people.

TheMunch doesnt want to talk to you, they have made that perfectly clear across a couple of threads but you are STILL responding to his posts to other people. If that isnt the definition of trying to bait another member into a response i dont know what is. As far as i can see that is against the rules of this forum

I fully accept that forum member doesn't want to speak to me, which is sad really, but is there anything wrong in me responding to a post that is posted here? It is not baiting at all, far from it, I would never want to be accused of doing something like that, as that is not why I post at all.

He(or she) doesn't want to speak to me, fine, but I haven't said that I don't want to speak to that particular poster, so if it is one way traffic, so be it.

I don't want to annoy anyone, all I wish to do on these forums is post with other football fans.

YES

If that poster has specifically said they dont want to converse with you. Would you walk around a pub, street, place of work or anywhere in the real world talking to someone that has said they want nothing to do with you?

This is not "the real world" so to speak, these are a place where if a person posts a post, then you should expect a reply more often than not.

If someone says they don't wish to talk to someone that is fine, and a person should be allowed to ask for such things, however a post should still be able to reply to a post, the person doesn't have to reply back if they don't want or wish to.

Comparing it with the so called "real world" is not an apt comparison I would say.

It is when you dont realise just how annoying youre being to someone.

Ask yourself, what is the point of you replying to a poster that has specifically stated they want nothing to do with you?

Please, just take a minute before replying to this and actually ask yourself what are you trying to get out of responding to them? It can only be a response from them which is out and out baiting them to do so.

I am not trying to get anything from them, all I am doing is replying to a post, same as any other post, if I get a reply great, if not, it doesn't matter.

I am not baiting anyone, that is not what I do, nor is that ever my intention.

Genuine question Batdude, have you been diagnosed with ASD?

Would explain why you post how you do. If that makes sense?

No I haven't got ASD, I just like talking about football with other football fans, I didn't quite realise that was such a negative thing to want to do.

I was linking it to your lack of self awareness, as in not realizing when you're irritating/annoying other posters. That is all

I hope that I am not annoying anyone, (and if I am then I do apologise, and I am very sorry for that), that is not why I post, I post to have fun talking about football here, and in this specific thread, about the club in general.

Hopefully just like any other manager who brings his team to Old Trafford and certainly not any kind of appreciation considering the job he did and the I've been hard done by jibes since he left.

Will be mightily pissed off if we don't pick up 3 points here.

I cam see the media trying to hype it up, we definitely have to pick up the three points, anything else and I will join you in being right royally pissed off.

Hopefully he will have a good reception as it was not all his fault that Man United were struggling that season. The board should have backed him at the start of the season. And we would have known if Moyes would have been good enough to get them to them to finish in the top four. But sadly we will never know
