Can't really argue with any of those, except signing Falcao on loan.

Van Gaal wasn't to know that Falcao was a completely shot ghost of his former self.
You can certainly argue with most of them!

There's a feeling of inevitability today that Aguero will tear our defence a new arsehole.

Hope I'm wrong.

If anything when compared to his Chelsea spell (he is still there isn't he???), LvG got quite a lot out of Falcao, perhaps the last half decent drips of his top level career.

Rashford v Demichelis might be fun hopefully......who am I trying to kid, it is going to be painful today isn't it??

Just got to wait until the end now, before we see any changes hopefully.

You might just be right.

He's completely disappeared at Chelsea.

Who knows.

City aren't all that at the moment & have reinvented inconsistency.

I know we're not all that either, but the match might be more even than we might think.

Yeah, somehow Pato gets on the bench ahead of him, his time there no reminds me of Hargreaves' spell with us, as towards the end, the journo's and Sir Alex when discussing who was fit or injured for the upcoming match, never mentioned him, as it was just naturally assumed that he would be out.

Sad times for Falcao, as he was such a fantastic striker at his peak, that French second division player really ruined his career.

Of course I want us to win today. The club is bigger than Van Gaal's ego. That said the "See? Everything is fine with Louis Van Gaal" smugness that'll exude from him if we do will be excruciating.

I'm just resting on the hope that we've made the decision to get rid win, lose or draw this afternoon and regardless as to what happens for the rest of the season.

Falcao refused to move back to his club at the last transfer window, he only got signed as a favour to Jose and his agent, this is why he is with the reserves.

Nothing he can do to keep the post now. Scraping into the top 4 was adequate last season, this season it'll be deemed a failure.

Wow, that is some favour!

Hopefully similar things don't happen with us, if Jose is to be our new manager.

I think he has scored the same at both clubs, but he surely has had more playing time with us, hasn't he?

Exactly. We gave him a bit more time because it wasn't certain he was finished and we were so desperate. Great player in his pomp but rubbish when he arrived in England.

Whatever happens in our match, I'll be glued to MOTD just for that one!

Shame that there had to be a winner in the Southampton match, as now that puts them on the same points as ourselves, all very tight indeed.
Gerrawaywithit! We had 2 games in hand over Saints, none over Liverpool. Excellent win for Saints!

But you said LVG got quite a lot out of him. Not sure how just having playing time equates to that. He's there to score.

Fantastic player in his pomp. Always remember him ripping Chelsea apart on his own in the Super Cup. Sadly never recovered from a bad injury.

That's why if we play him rashford needs to be up front, not on the wing or moving all over the place.

I'd never not sign a first-choice striker next season because we've got Rashford but I might be happy not signing a back-up/squad striker next season because we have Rashfod

What a goal by Marcus Rashford, he is going to be some player if he carries on like this but still a long way to go for him and United too, but great start.

Agreed.

He's fearless & seems to have a tremendous big game temperament.

Long way to go in this match, and it usually is the hope that kills!
