What dumbf*** had the idea of making the easter and international weekend? There should be a host of live Premier League games on today.

Its an absolute disgrace and the only saving grace is that I have to go out for a meal this afternoon so would be missing the football anyway.

Gives people plenty of time to hone their "Rooney should never be allowed to play the game again" arguments.

It's f*cking terrible. I've got the flu as well, so I'm more or less stuck here doing nothing.

It does make the days drag a bit without having any Premier League football to look forward to.

News that Blind has picked up an injury with Holland as well just to top things off.

I suppose that watching Rashford will have to do, as England Under 20's are playing Canada Under 20's on Mutv.

Not the same thing really, but it is either that or the boat race!

Why don't you go along with him? You'll be pleased to know that pubs now commonly serve a range of fizzy juice drinks and also often have a soft play area out the back.

Well the rain and hailstones outside are not exactly enticing me to go out, but if that stops sometime soon, then that might make me change my mind.

So starved of sport I felt obliged to watch the boat race. You could see where one or two of the guys were stashing their easter eggs for later.

The highlight was the women almost sinking, other than that both races were won easily by the winning team, so no close finishes there sadly.

Onto club matters, good to see Pereira scoring for the Brazilian Olympic team, anything that boosts his confidence is a good thing.

This is why I hate international football. Pay millions for a player and tens of thousands a week in wages and he gets bloody injured pissing about on a meaningless international break.

Always winds me up when one of ours gets injured and the headline is "xxxx out of England's World Cup Qualifier"

No mention of the games he'll miss for the club who pays his wages, and whose fans don't turn on him at the first sign of trouble.

It is not just us, look at Stoke with Butland being out for a good while, it cannot really be helped, other than all players retiring from international duty, which is just a fantasy rather than a realistic aim.

Wow, this week is dragging until the Everton match, more internationals coming up, which will involve more praying that we don't get any more injured players.

do you not support england national team bats?

dont get me wrong i used to hate intl breaks(now cov in l1 we still play) and i still dont love them because i look forward to prem and serie a macthes

but now we are getting closer to euros it makes me excited for the national team again too. after all some of best footy moments come from intl stage

i am always club over country but there is room for both so its not really an issue.

I support England, and they are my first and only priority at international level, but I also would like for all of the Manchester United players, playing for their respective countries, to do well, and to come back injury free.

We certainly could do without any more injuries on top of the current ones that we already have got!

I don't really get too excited by friendlies, for me international football is only exciting at actual tournament finals themselves, qualifiers etc don't do it for me.

Just seen that we're likely to commence stadium expansion work in summer 2017 to increase the capacity to 80,000 due to the impending regulation changes requiring an increase in the number of spaces for disabled people.

How will that work, as presumably the railway line will still cause a bit of a problem for expanding the capacity?

It would be good to get more seats in, and for more disabled people to be able to come to matches.

Maybe they won't build over the railway line?

Perhaps not, but I always thought that was always a problem if we were ever looking to increase the capacity further, hopefully it is not too much of a problem, and we can get more seats in.
