It's like torture waiting for this season to end, hopefully Jose will be the light at the end of the tunnel.

One thing that worries me is that we've got very minimal summer friendlies planned this year (not discounting Euro 2016). The large amount of them is something LVG has groaned about in his time with us.

I'm seriously worried it means the flat faced one will still be here after summer!

After the Euros and pre season tour of China I'm not sure what more you want to fit in.

We also have Rooney's testimonial, and a possible Community Shield match, (if we somehow manage to win the FA Cup), so we do have at least a fair amount of pre-season games, when the Euro's are taken into consideration.

They will have been organised a long time ago though, even before the season turned to crap and LVG started looking like a dead man walking, so I don't think we can read much into that. I think the only chance of LVG staying is if we finish 4th or higher and win the FA Cup.

The matches so far, with City, West Ham and even Stoke to a degree all winning sure puts the pressure back on us to beat Everton.

Someone just told me that man United have a get out clause in van gaals contract.
Apparently it's that united have to qualify for the champions league in the top 4 or United have the option of sacking him.

Surely we would have heard something more about this if true?
I've just Googled it and couldn't see anything concrete.

Who told you this?

As I would be very disbelieving of such a thing being real.

Sir Bobby Charlton
Not really it was someone called Andrew ibberson.

Find it odd that you would ask who as I doubt very much that you know him.

No, I wouldn't be that obvious, more of a case of, getting his facts mixed up.

I doubt that it was an actual fact.

Think he was being more hopeful than anything.

They always have the option of sacking him. If we dont make top 4 it makes it more likely although he should finish at the end of the season anyway.

I see we are linked with a "swoop" for Ross Barkley for £45m in the summer. Nothing to do with us playing Everton today obviously.....

Anyone confident about todays match?

I think it might finish as a draw, I am going 2-2, neither side have the best defence at the moment.

I'd jump at the chance of barkley but as you say it's only lazy journolism.
I can see van Gaal going no matter what happens. If he gets top 4 he will say he went out a success if he doesn't then he will still go and say he wasn't given enough time.

I'm not watching the game today . I already had a pre planned game of golf booked.

We have been linked recently with signing both Lukaku and Barkley, all we need is Stones to complete the set!

I cannot see any of them coming here, it would be far too much bad PR for Everton and this new investment of theirs, if they were to been seen selling any of their prized assets, as that would only set them back further than they currently are.

Just more easy linking by the press, with not much reality involved I would say.

So you KEEP saying whilst continuing to ignore the desire of the player(s) to leave. Lukaku has already made it clear he wants out.

If that's the case, the board need sacking.

No, I haven't read or seen the papers today, so until anything is confirmed either way, I will take stories about him going or staying with a large bag of salt.

Has he, or is it just more nonsense from an agent looking for another big pay day?

If he does want out, I can't see Everton being the easiest of clubs to do business with, and he would if it were possible to sign him, cost a heck of lot of money to do so, as I can see them wanting a huge transfer fee.

Also have either Stones or Barkley made it clear that they want out, if so, I must have missed them saying so.

So Lukaku saying he wants out is dismissed as being agent talk yet for the other two your looking for that as evidence?? Standard.

Either way you are missing the general point that the players wishes will be just as relevant as Evertons desire to sell. Especially if any of them has a good Euro's. Also your "Bad PR" thing is essentially nonsense if the owners reinvest the transfer fee backing into the team along with the injection of cash they have already put in.

I dont think anyone has suggested that any or all of them would be cheap either.

Nice to see a relatively unchanged line up for a change.

I have said all along that a players wishes or desires will play a part in any possible transfer, that has always been the case, so why try and paint my views as otherwise?

If Lukaku does want out, and this is not just his agent touting him around for a big payday, then Everton will have a tough job keeping him there, but it can be done, just look at Mane at the start of this season at Southampton, when he made a bit if a fuss, yet in the end stayed at Southampton.

It is not really as clear cut as you are portraying it to be (player wants out = player gets sold), it is not going to be easy, if at all possible to sign him, just because he may want out.

A lot will still be in the hands of the Everton board, and their decision to sell him will be the crucial one.

When did I say that? You really do appear to have comprehension issues. You are the one continually trolling with your "Club doesn't need to sell so I can't see us signing the player" in response to absolutely everything and completely destroying any form of discussion about potential transfers on here time after time after time to the point where people just can't be bothered because they end up getting dragged into this type of pointless crap with you.

You won't be satisfied until you are here talking to yourself - and that point is getting closer with each passing day.
