I'd hope the Glazers and Woodward are just letting the other factions get on with it whilst knowing they'll be appointing Mourinho regardless.
I'm also half hoping this publicity for Giggs being under serious consideration is to talk him up and stimulate a decent job opportunity for him elsewhere. |

There is not even the slightest doubt in my mind about this. Jose will take over in the summer.
The papers will keep going back and forth in order to milk every last drop out of the story. Nothing unusual there. |

Anyone else getting a bit nervous about the upcoming match??
It may only be the Europa League, but I don't really want to get beat by them in any competition! |

As for José possibly coming here or not, I have long since given up actually trying to work out what our situation is, and will be for next season, so even though I am still against José being appointed, what will be will be, is how I am viewing things now.

But Jose is still the standout candidate and it would be criminal to overlook him for the second time. |

I can't see the board sticking with van Gaal beyond this season. I'm not sure Champions League qualification would be enough to save his job at this point, he'd probably need that in addition to a trophy and a big upturn in form.
As I've said before, I'm not much of a Mourinho fan but there really isn't a viable alternative. If we stick with van Gaal or place our faith in Giggs, things could become very messy for us. |

The next 4 games are HUGE for us, knock out the bin dippers in the EL, get through to the FA Cup semi final and beat City and we've a chance of a positive end to what has been a crap season! In regards to Mourinho, I think he'll be manager for next season regardless of finishing in the top 4 or winning the FA Cup and Europa League...part of me would be delighted with his appointment because I think he's the only one to see off the threat of Pep at City and have us challenging for the title again
The other part though dreads him taking over because it'd maybe mean the end of youth players being promoted to the first team which has been the one positive of LvG's reign and the norm for Manchester United over the years! And within 3-4 years he'll probably be off and leaving us in exactly the same state as we have been this season Guess what will be will be though...it's been hell for us ever since Fergie retired but I do think we'll be back up there before long (I hope)

Dunno, LVG has got a 100% record against Liverpool since he arrived at United but runs like that eventually come to an end. I just hope it doesn't end in this tie, I think it is a slight advantage having the second leg at home though.
It will be important to get a few away goals tonight, and hopefully with Minoglet in goal for them, that will be possible. |

He is first on my list to replace LVG, however as long as LVG is gone in the summer and Giggs moves on then I wouldn't be devastated if he isn't appointed as long as the alternative has an excellent track record with experience in Europe.
But Jose is still the standout candidate and it would be criminal to overlook him for the second time. I have just given up trying to work out just which way for sure our board will go, as there have been far too many mixed signals for me to keep up. |

Seems a few posts have gone missing. Not sure why, didn't see any rules being broken. The original post mentioning "bin dippers" is still there and the posts discussing that and terms like "manure" were on-topic, and without anyone getting personal.
Just seems a bit...confusing... |

Jesus Christ, why all the deleted posts on here yet again? There wasn't anything said whatsoever that was offensive, unconstructive or whatever term he mods want to use on here. It was a perfectly on topic discussion.
There are some people on this forum that really cannot handle actual discussions and run to the mods the second someone questions them. You don't really belong on a discussion forum if you can't handle it. The mods also need to take some blame here as deleting those posts was nowhere near warranted. |

Small wonder that so many people are vanishing from here, say 'boo' and your culled, or out the door.

If someone was getting personal or something I could understand, but based on what was being discussed, given the fact that the original post sparking such a discussion is still there I can't see what's wrong, and even if someone got personal then surely only those particular posts could've gone. Otherwise if what has been discussed is considered unacceptable then it's kind of hard to know what you can talk about.

I lurk here and keep up with the discussions most days but it's almost impossible to actually post as unless you agree with everything said here, and some of it is beyond stupid, then those posters cry to the mods just for being disagreed with. I'll probably get another ban here just for criticising the mods but this was incredibly bad moderating even for them. |

Absolutely nothing was wrong with the discussion earlier. I notice the thread about ticket prices is locked too, presumably because one of the biggest clowns on here was getting called out on their utter wibble, and we can't have that now, can we?
Yet allegations of forum members having an unhealthy interest in underage girls are STILL present on the Adam Johnson thread! Embarrassing. |

I don't know what the situation here was in this case, but it is easy to say or blame it on someone, but that is not always the case. |

Good to see you back batdude. Just in time for the footy.
You had the op yet? Anyway my predictions for tonight are a 2 nil win for us. I thin everyone believes Liverpool will be too strong for us but I have faith in our young uns. Big Dave will do well and keep out their players. Martial and mata with the goals . |
