I imagine someone was getting stretched at the back of the bus

It happens once in a blue moon, clearly extraordinary circumstances have happened with the traffic etc.......not like they planned on arriving five mins before
yeah your probably right. it must be difficult being sat out on a coach for two hours and then getting off and running out in a premier league match a few minutes later, i usually feel very tired after being sat on a coach for a long time and have a nap to recharge.

I wouldn't have thought they got the coach down. It's most likely got stuck in traffic in way from hotel.

Apparently took them two hours to travel eight miles. So glad I don't live in London.

I had a similar experience a few weeks back when I went to the Microsoft HQ in Reading with my university. Left it at 4:30pm, got stuck on the way up due to a crash on the M6 I think it was. Didn't get back to uni in Ormskirk until 2 in the morning, and was lucky enough to get a lift back to Liverpool, otherwise I'd have been stranded with the trains off. Got in just before 3 in the morning, and I got up 4am the previous day, making it a long 23hrs.

The truck driver was said to be okay, minor injuries, not sure how given the state of the truck when it was towed past. The thing was flattened.

I, too, am glad I don't live down south.

A 15 min drive once took me three hours as the main road was closed, so everyone had to go via country roads. City traffic has nothing on that

Martial loses the ball far too often. Every time he gets it, he dribbles past one man then gets tackled

Fosu mensah plays waaaaay out of position as well, normally a centre back isn't he? And it shows.

Watching this and were getting ripped apart by Spurs, please stop this misery. Embarrasing.

Normally either that or centre-mid. And yeah, he's not been great positionally so far, made some good blocks though.

He's got potential, but is very obviously still naive. He is not helped much by having Mata as a "minder".

Entertaining first half. We played well for first 20 minutes before Spurs started to string something together. Agree with Mick about Martial losing the ball, he looks fit for a bit of a rest to be honest.

Very good for 20 minutes, not so much thereafter.

At no point have we looked capable of scoring though.

I think I'd go for Valencia on for Mata.

Plenty of possession, no end product. Same old story. Lucky not to be two goals down.

Nothing to aim at in the middle. Doesn't matter how we play anywhere else on the field, if we have no real outlet we're going to get beaten eventually.

Ashley Young up front. Possibly our best crosser of the ball is playing up front on his own.

It is Bizarre stuff and shows our lack of options up front, highlights the LVG era in a nutshell really.

It's Total Football, but not as we know it.

And here's Darmian warming up in readiness for the patented full back substitution.

I don't really understand our game plan lately. We have a centre back playing at right back who keeps moving too central leaving mata to cover the full back position. Mata shouldn't be on the wing in the first place and should be central. Lingard is playing there when his pace would be better on the wing. Young is playing up front when he is better crossing the ball and taken off rashford who has so far demonstrated he is pretty decent if you get a cross behind the defence for him to run onto or head.

Bit baffled where we are going really

Despite United's much discussed limitations, I'm really heartened to see them working hard, on and off the ball. It's a battling away performance against a very decent Spurs team and I appreciate it for what it is.
