Hilariously laughable performance that once again is largely down to the manager.

Only Martial and De Gea up to scratch today.

Everyone else should hang their heads in shame.

You see thats why he should have been fired back in November. What a joke we are now and Woodward lacked the Courage to dismiss LVG and now look at us.

Woodward doesn't need courage. He just sees $$$.

He's just as culpable. As big a fraud as the manager.

Why did you go out of the room for 6 minutes?
I had some personal matters to attend to.

Not sure if it was good or bad timing!

Truly shocking though there is no fight in that Team and that comes from the Manager did you ever see a united team under SAF not show any spirit. How we truly miss him and the only answer lies in a clear out of the Crap players and bringing Jose in.

The players take direction from the manager and its clear that even sub consciously they aren't happy. There is no way id have any sort of clear out based on the results under Van Gaal.

Van Gaal has let Woodward down. He's been given until the end of the season which is longer than most but I can't see any way him staying on can be justified.

Young up front and Martial on the wing sums up why Van Gaal can't remain.

Well that result has surely dented our hopes for a top four finish big time, it will be a huge ask to overhaul City now, the top four teams look set now.

Apart from Fellini as he is an obvious player to sell, which players do you think are crap and need/should be sold?

We have a firm base of players here, what is letting us down, or rather holding us back is the managers tactics or "philosophy".

If we had a different manager in charge, and we had different tactics, then I think that we could see a fair few of these players look a whole lot better.

Yeah the name calling tends to come out after poor performances/results, which this season tends to be quite often.

If you manage like a clown, expect to get childish insults.

My hatred for the man has gone through boundaries I didn't even think existed.

I dont want us to beat West Ham in the cup. Not to get rid of Van Gaal but because it will lead to attempt to put false gloss on a season that needs to be seen for the disaster it has been.

Mata's reaction to being subbed after the goal said it all really. I expected a tough game but that 2nd half performance has got to be up there with losing 6-1 to citeh and 4-0 to Liverpool. LVG is so defensive in his layouts, I'd rather outscore a team than out defend a team. He wont be sacked no matter how much the fans want it.

As for players needed/un wanted.

Get rid of Carrick unless he accepts he no longer 1st choice
Rojo looks like he's turning up for the sake of it.
Fellaini needs to go, just not good enough....then again!

I think personally that if the set up was 4-3-3 attacking we would walk the league, Depay isn't a player who sits back doing defensive duties or holding the play up. Let him run and attack. Herrera should be a starter for every bloody game in midfield at least he shows passion when he plays, and drop rooney deeper and give him the Midfield general job to control the game.

De Gea
F - Mensa Smalling Blind Shaw

Morgan

Rooney Herrera

Lingard Mata Depay

Martial

Subs
Rashford
Bastian
Jackson
Darmain
Carrick
Young

I would love to see some quality brought in the summer but who comes is anyones guess.

Agreed.

For me this season has being worse than Moyes season by far.

Its on a par for me. Moyes was a disaster but expectation was zero to begin with. This season should have been building on last season, adding a bit of flair and polish and given the failures of the other so-called big sides should certainly have had a rn in Europe and a title tilt.

Spurs are everything we should be right now IMO.

The rest of the team has dropped to the point of making Lingard look acceptable rather than him reaching our levels.

I can never not want us to win a game, I just don't like that mentality.

I forgot he was even playing today. There were three occasions he appeared on screen and I genuinely was surprised to see him on the pitch each time.

So I take it no one thinks he should see out his contract now?

This has been a very poor season indeed, and it is no fun at all trying to compare this one to the Moyes one, as both times we have severely underperformed, and I don't really want to try and remember this one or that one in future years.

This season we had the opportunity to really kick on from the last one, but the fact that we could end up in a similar position to the Moyes one speaks volumes, on the pitch we have not improved, and if anything we have gone backwards.

There needs to be a change of management as it is quite clear that this "philosophy" is not working, and we are being left behind other more progressive sides, and that is simply not acceptable.

After failing (as seems most likely now) to get a top four place, then that should be the case, as that should be the bare minimum that we should achieve each and every season.

He surely cannot have many complaints if that were to be the case.

Yeah Moyes wasn't expected to do anything but get top 4, Like you said this season should have built on last season but Injuries and poor tactics have set us back to Pre moyes expectations now. If LVG is in charge next season I think we can expect a top 10 finish to be honest. As teams are going to be throwing money around like its going out of business with the new tv deal arriving.

Feel so deflated this season and find it struggle to get motivated on match days.

I want to win every game like every other united fan but sometimes to win you have to lose.
