Indeed. Doubt anything will be said officially until the time is right, but I do think things have been happening behind the scenes for a while now.
Just like with Moyes, not qualifying for the Champions League will only hasten the process for the departure of the manager.

If Everton have any real ambitions they won't employ Giggs as manager.
True, I was just trying to think of clubs that were well run, and not in the hands of a trigger happy person in charge!

Giggs will be lucky to get a managerial job in the Premier League imo.

Possibly might have looked at him if they were still trying to do things on the cheap (although I find it very hard to believe he would have got the job). Not a chance now they have some money behind them.

GIggs might be better looking at the Championship, less scrutiny and hopefully he can get experience without worrying about being in the spotlight.

I think that is part of why he wants to stay here, I think he might be a tad bit worried about the next step in his career were he to leave us
He has been in a bit of a bubble with us, and has only experience of one club, so anyone looking to employ him would be taking a huge chance, as he doesn't have the experience of other clubs or how they do things.

Everyone has to start somewhere though if they want to be a manager, and just where he decides to do that will be very interesting to see.

If he doesn't want to move out of his comfort zone then management is not for him.

Why is Van Gaal still in a job? he should have been laughed out the door 6 months ago!

That is very true, he has been shielded to an extent from pressures other people have had to face, due to the time that he has spent with us.

Where he ends up next, and what he ends up doing (apart from the Salford ownership) will be very telling in terms of his long term aims and aspirations.

What good would sacking him now do? Who would replace him? Mourinho wouldn't take the job until the season finishes, and I don't think he'd be the type to come in and save a season. Giggs is said to be against the idea of being a caretaker manager again. So unless you want someone like Tim Sherwood to come in there's nothing you can do until the season finishes.

I'd let Neville come in, or give it to Butt if Giggs doesn't have the balls.

I find it absolutely staggering that Giggs wouldn't step up to help the club he supposedly loves.

At this stage of the season, with not much to play for bringing somebody in for a few games, just to say appoint José (or anyone else) would be pointless.
If we were to have brought an outsider in, then it should have been done well before now.

There are so few games left now it's pointless to sack him , it should have been done months ago if we wanted to salvage this season.

Just hope we fire his arse out of the door after the last game of the season.

If Giggs has refused to step in because he only wants a full time appointment then he can join him in the cannon.

At one point we had seven players playing out of position (Fosu-Mensah, Blind, Rojo, Mata, Lingard, Martial, Young). Maybe the goal is to get all 10 at one point. I wouldn't put it past him.

It wouldn't be the first time that we had a goalkeeper play there!

Transferring his arse to that Villa in Portugal sounds like a good start.

Damn, didn't read your earlier post.

Ed Woodward doesn't want to admit he made a mistake giving him the job in the first place and put his own position under scrutiny. Ever since that really bad spell around November/December he'll have been praying LVG could turn it around, but it's not happening.

I assume you have forgotten the extraordinary amount of time you spent arguing with me that he would be an ideal candidate for the Swansea job?
