We do know for sure. You already have your top class striker to play back up to Rooney. His name is Martial.

He gets shoved out on the wing.

Hopefully this will get sorted out with a new manager in the summer, and we won't have to wonder about if we are too light or not in this area.

It would be great to see Martial played as an actual striker, as he has just so much more to offer us from that position then being stuck out wide.

Why has it taken so long for Man United to play their replay against West Ham

Has it been wasted?

What else would you have liked to have talked about to not have this day wasted in your mind?

Just fitting it in really at a date that was fair to both teams. There was the recent international break too.

No. Actually if we finished 4th and, God forbid, City win the CL but finish outside the top 4 we'd lose our spot to them as well. What a nightmare that would be!

Haven't Liverpool got to win the Europa Cup as well for that scenario to happen.

I think you missed the word "nightmare" out between "that" and "scenario"!

Is anyone at all confident that we can get through and be the team to play Everton in the next round?

I sure would love to be, but after our last match, my confidence is not at all high.

4 years ago spurs lost their CL slot to Chelsea when they won the CL but finished 6th I think.

I am never confident about any of our games anymore.

I wont be confident until LVG is gone.

I know the feeling.

I feel as though it will be two hours of my evening wasted with nothing but anger and disappointment at the end.

Ill still watch though because I am a glutton for punishment.

Kind of just want us to take them to pens so that it tires them out and helps Leicester at the weekend.

Everything about this season is so ******* depressing. Fully expect we're going out tonight. Can't expect any of the players have any kind of confidence whatsoever going into the game, they must be at absolute rock bottom.

It's clear to me that Van Gaal's more concerned with proving that his techniques still work than anything else, as if he wants to make a point that his approach is still tactically relevant. He hasn't, like Ferguson did, evolved or adapted. Someone mentioned Darmian here previously and looking at the player he was when he joined vs the player he became. Not that Darmian isn't still a top player but like so many others he now plays like a recently bereaved parent. He drains the ******* life out of everyone and everything.

I still want us to win, that has not changed, but I just have no confidence in this team to perform when it matters most anymore.

LvG has taken care of that.

With the game being on earlier at least we can get it out of the way and enjoy the rest of the evening.

Well unless the divine power wants to take it to penalties.

If I posted my pet name for him it would need a divine power to stop me getting a ban.

Thanks for reminder of early kick off.

From outsiders point of view, im quite looking froward to seeing the Man United players attitude and how they are set up. Only two wins from the cup, final.

Let's see if Van Gaal can get them fighting for him.

It will ruin my night though, i will be fuming for a couple of hours after the match until i put some comedy on like Father Ted, Fawlty Towers or Only Fools and Horses which will make me forget the performance and result. One good thing about the LVG era is that now i expect us to lose so it doesn't take as long to get over it were as in the Sir Alex era i always had a sneaky feeling we would be Ok and win more often than not and it would take me ages to get over a disappointing result or performance.
