Great stuff.
Ruined West Ham's big night, with the nation willing us to lose with the BBC in the role of chief cheerleader. Their coverage tonight was an absolute disgrace. |

Good result. I reckon West Ham actually may have been a bit complacent! They started off very well and probably thought they had the beating of man united.
Rashfords has looked the business since I watched his debut. |

Van Gaal has an amazing talent for pulling a result out of his arse.

Again DDG shows everyone just how good he is, I'm still a little puzzled as to how he wasn't one of the 6 nominations for player of the year, regardless of how bad the team in front of him has been.
Felt Herrera was a little in and out of the game tonight, but that's the only slight moan. Thought the back 4 were superb, that includes Rojo. He was taken off at the right time, though the problem then was not long after his departure TFM took a knock and also started to suffer from a bit of cramp it looked like. I know that when I suggested he'd get some squad time this year, I was mocked last summer and to be honest were it not for injuries he possibly wouldn't have played these past few weeks, but he's looking as big as talent as anything we've got. Rashford will get the plaudits for the goals etc, but TFM is a monster. The two players most complained about did well tonight, Fellaini and Lingard put in decent performances, and whilst nothing flashy certainly did the job. For once I had to agree with Keown (I'm going to have to drink something strong because of this), but Lingards only issue is perhaps his finishing, but he's doing enough to justify his place in the team. |

I think the only thing of LVG I'm looking forward to is his post season speech if we win the cup, it will make last years look tame.

Rashford and Martial are future World Beaters.
Lingard is future West Bromwich. |

If i was Van Gaal i would play Rashford in every game from now until the end of the season but it would be hard to leave Rooney on the bench

Bittersweet victory if it keeps LvG in a job.
Glad to get it though. |

Is it pathetic though? Home team, weight of history and all that. And we had loads of these nerve shredders under SAF.....
The point is we are lauding a semi-decent performance and result that we did our damnedest to chuck away from 2-0 up. The result itself it what it is and thats good but there is still so much wrong but yet again Van Gaal pulls a result out at the last knockings making you wonder why it only happens when the sacking is imminent in the media. |

Rashford looks the business but I'm cautious.....so did Januzaj over a short period.
If the level we are seeing from him so far is the level he can play at he will be a first team regular next season because thats what top young players do - they force their way into teams. |

Aw come on MP, the context of this within the Van Gaal season is totally different to hanging on in an odd game under Sir Alex as we march to another title.

Fair enough. I suppose I'm not alone in having my once-high expectations ground down by the last couple of years. Please god if we do win the cup the board see it as as chance to let LVG go out on a high instead of continue on a low......
I think you've already had enough doubles. I hope Di Marzio is right with this one (Jose). |

Danny Mills thinks Rashford should go to the Euros ahead of someone like Sturridge, and says he could be like Michael Owen in 1998...
Sometimes I think DS is bad for knee-jerking. And it is. But then you get these people... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03q...adio_and_music |
