I would hate to be the only person here, this forum should be about expressing ones opinions, it would be pointless to be the only one here, I am very much for open dialogue with anyone that wants to talk about the club or football in general.
Well there only seems to be one barrier to that at the moment, not that I pay too much attention to this thread, but perhaps if you posted less, it'd give others a chance to actually have some proper discussion.

You have a habit of derailing any discussion, like the one about signing players a while back.

Looks like Evertons defenders are all injured, I would be very confident on Man United to win tomorrow

They've been playing like they've got no defence all season any way!

Hey the Under 21's just won their league, so something positive to hold onto amongst the "grief-fest"!
So what?

The board are still clowns, nobody knows what they're doing, the manager is a fraud, and the players are all rubbish, apparently.

In my view, we're about 3 players, and one new manager, away from having a proper team.

We're actually on a pretty good run, Tottenham aside.

But nobody wants to talk about that. All that we now get on this thread is constant whining.

Is everything as I would like? Absolutely not. Has it been much, much worse? Yes, it bloody well has.

That's not true, I've made several positive posts recently including last night. I don't post very often though, to be fair - because nobody is interested in being positive so it's never picked up! Oh, you just said that!

OK here goes... 6 successive home wins in the league, and 9 matches unbeaten at home in all competitions. But for December, we'd be right up there - and I can't see December happening again either this season or next, whoever's in charge.

Oh, you just said that!
In fairness to you, I did clock your post, yesterday I think.

I'm not feeling hugely positive, but I just get tired of the relentless negativity, all of the time. We were pretty decent, on Wednesday. Speroni had a blinder, otherwise it could have been 4 or 5.

I have posted less in recent times, so if you did pay more attention to the thread you would have noticed that.

I hope that I don't derail discussions, rather I hope that I further them along, putting forth my own views and opinions when I think that they are necessary.

Which positions do you feel that we need to strengthen to get those three players?

The same could have been said about the last few weeks of Sexton's last season in charge.....

Yes, we are on a decent run and doing reasonably OK, but that shouldn't cloud the picture that the football we are playing is slow, dull and lacks creativity. Nor should it cloud the picture that we are short of players to make this a really great side once more.

Oh okay, sorry for not noticing.

I just had the impression that you pretty much replied to every post in here.

That being said. I have no reason to disbelieve you, if you say you are posting less, then I believe you.

Onto your next point, unfortunately, hope and reality aren't always aligned.

I've noticed a slight habit of yours is that you can get quite fixated on a particular point, and tend to repeat the same point as if it's some perfect moment of clarity that no-one else can be aware of.

I hope you can see I'm only posting this to be helpful. Afterall, it was yourself who said you hope there can be more discussion.

You are only one of the problems though, there's also the constant negativity. We have it over on the Liverpool thread too. Too many fans take almost a glee in the clubs misfortunes.

Good news I guess, some fool way back in January planned a meeting for today in Newcastle, that finishes at 4, and then booked a train home at 5.... Our record has been very good over the past few seasons when I've been working and missed the game, so lets hope that continues.

You should miss more games then, you sound like a Jonah!

Only joking.

I had a quick glance at 3 papers back pages this morning.

One had Van Gaal saying an FA Cup win would start the glory years again for United.

Once said Van Gaal could get the push even if he wins the FA Cup.

And one reporter did a piece on Van Gaal. I only read the bit where he basically said he had to go and used the word 'deluded' to describe him.
A word a lot of people would agree with!

I'm not letting anything 'cloud the picture'.

I've consistently said that I want Van Gaal gone, and (preferably) Mourinho in. I've consistently said that I don't want Giggs given the job.

However, reading the last few pages of the thread has been a bit of a drag, with people just repeating their view that we've become awful in all departments. I'm simply saying that it's not all bad.

Ahh glad that you are here, have you had time to think about the three players that you would like to see brought into the club, or at the very least, which positions those three should be in?

City 4-0 up so far.

And to think some people were desperate to believe they'd only have their minds on the Ch League, in the hope they'd collapse in the P:L to benefit United. lol

One thing is a certainty - in this last 4 games they'll score more goals than United in the league. United probably won't even manage 4 goals in their remaining games!

Liverpool, Spurs and Man City have now put four past Stoke. By the time Liverpool played them they were on their holidays, we did it mostly with our second team. It's why I wasn't massively impressed with Spurs beating them like the media seemed to have been.

Lol I thought this was the neutral thread. Oh well, it's staying here.

Four points to fourth place now, ahh well, let's just concentrate on the cup, and try and get through to the final.

I would say full back, central defence, and a creative player in midfield, 1 new experienced forward. I would sell Darmian and Depay.

Unfortunately the Berties won 4 nil today. Odds on they will finish 3rd.

Looking at Stoke's form over the last few months it is obvious that Hughes isn't of the standard for a club like Utd despite his name being mentioned as a possible future candidate for manager.

Well no he's never Man United standard. He's a good manager but not for the level you want to get to.

Stoke City's players at least should be playing for a place in the Euros. To be on the beach so soon (from when Liverpool played them) is just the wrong mentality to have, and that falls down to the manager. If anything use this time to learn stuff if you no longer want to compete in the league.

I would keep Memphis, I still think that there is a player in there, that with a more attacking minded manager, that he could benefit from the change.

Another forward to compete with the three we have (presumably with Wilson either being sold, or loaned out again), would be a good idea.

Would you get rid of Jones, to make room for a new central defender?
