I was far too busy being happy and elated to be looking at twitter then, if someone else there posted the same thing, then there isn't much that I can do about that, but I am just being totally honest here.

You are absolutely allowed your thoughts on anything in fact you are allowed to post anyone's thoughts and pass them off as your own, but when confronted about it don't deny it.

I'm genuinely not bothered that you may or may not ( probably may) have posted someone else's musings as your own.

If I post something from Twitter or elsewhere then I will say so, (hence the link before the match to where I got the team news from), but in this case this was my own thoughts only, not anyone else's.

As I say, if someone else had the same or similar thoughts then there is not much that I can do about that is there, since we have a rather large fan base, then there is bound to be crossovers or a shared feeling or two isn't there?

I really enjoyed the game yesterday though it should've been wrapped up far earlier than it was, far too many chances went begging. I suppose we weren't helped much by some of the refereeing decisions, either.

I'd love to get tickets for the final too but I don't expect they'll be easy to come by.

Thrilling victory yesterday.

That 1st half may have been the best 45 minutes the team have produced all season, despite facing an apparently fretful Everton. The front 3, with Rooney playing behind them, were very good indeed. The promise of Martial and Rashford as a forward partnership is there for all to see. We might know for sure, if they are the real thing by the end of next season. Lingard's energy is welcome, though doesn't quite mitigate his very patchy finishing. Back to the practice field for him.

But then, the 2nd half. Couldn't have demonstrated United's immediate need for a dominating CM more clearly. Maybe another manager could get more from Schneiderlin? I'm not so sure. But a team with so many youngsters playing regularly, requires active and resolute leadership on the pitch, just as much as from the manager's office. In the meantime they (and we) must continue to be thankful to David De Gea.

But whatever, I have a on my face right now.

I'm surprised you said that because I saw plenty of evidence of that, especially from Rooney, also Carrick. There have been several occasions this season when a team surging back at us like Everton did led to a collapse and losing a lead or the game. I was also pleased that even when Everton were on top, we continued to attack at every opportunity, unlike the way we often played earlier in the season.

I think Rashford and more particularly Fosu-Mensah need help with positional awareness. They are obviously both still at the stage of development where they need to be told where to be; to maintain their positions.

It was noticeable from the start of the 2nd half that Stones had been told to bring the ball out to the midfield and begin attacks from there. Rashford playing as a CF should have been playing right in front of him every time, putting a stop to it from source. He needs to be told, as it is happening.

Fosu-Mensah may possess all the necessary technical and physical attributes for all I know, but right now he has all the composure of a headless chicken. He doesn't just need to be told to maintain his position, he needs an outright babysitter. It would also be helpful if someone advised him that an opposition forward moving away from danger, should be allowed to continue, rather than jumping in with a panicky scissor tackle from behind.

But once again, they are young, they will learn. They are likely to learn faster, if they are taught these lessons in real time.

I have to say I agree with a comment someone made that yesterday, the players were desperate to win something to salvage the season so they played for themselves and the fans and probably ignored anything Van Gaal told them to do.
Which is why they were unrecognisable in the first half. The second half Everton were all over them. Maybe Van Gaal told them off at half-time!

The next league normal service will probably resume and it'll be nap time again.

I do hope May 21 is his last game in charge. For it not to be is too depressing to think about.

To be fair, I saw Rooney doing just that more than once - though TV coverage would have missed most off the ball examples so we don't know how much of it went on. Not sure about Rashford but someone should also be telling old man Smalling not to try and clear balls like that with the wrong foot!

Maybe I'll watch the match again to have a better look.

The league is proving to be excruciating though! 5 points behind Ars and City with a home game in hand (Leicester minus Vardy!) which if we win it, puts us effectively one win off getting ahead... and they have to play each other. And as we drew at Leicester + Vardy... who knows?

The problem is that we've been down this road before. Light at the end of the tunnel and then we'll put in an absolute stinker of a performance. I have little confidence in our ability to put together an extended run of form that will see us win all the games from now until the end of the season...but we can hope!

We could yet play a deciding role in who wins the title, beat Leicester, and that could put Spurs in the driving seat.

I would prefer to finish fifth, then to finish fourth, and see City and Liverpool win the respective European competitions that they are in, and knock us out of Champions League football next season, as until both are eliminated, that scenario will play on my mind.

Don't be daft! First they are unlikely both to win it, and second, I'd rather finish 4th. than 5th anyway! Even 3rd. isn't impossible (just unlikely).

Take out the Spurs game and our league form over the last month or so has been much better.

It's our away firm that sinks us and performances against lower half of the table teams.

I would of course rather finish fourth, but then to be denied by City and Liverpool winning the respective trophies would double the pain and anguish.
So until both are eliminated, there will be this nagging feeling inside of me, I just want them both out asap!

The League was effectively chucked away back in December. It is somewhat of a miracle that United could still qualify, even now, despite themselves. It really wouldn't surprise me if City and Arsenal played out the most boring 0-0 draw in history, each relying on their superior goal differences to see them through.

Roll on next season.....

Finishing fourth and getting kicked out of a competition that we hadn't even fully qualified for yet would be a pain in the arse you are correct.........but city will struggle to win the champions league and finish outside the top 4. They will probably finish 3rd.
Liverpool have the better chance of winning the europa league, so at the minute if we finished 4th , Liverpool and city won both the champions league and Europa league we would qualify anyway.

I never quite understand why anyone would want us to finish 5th rather than 4th.

That is the only reason why I would take fifth over fourth, every other time the higher the position the better!

So Palace it is in the final, a repeat of 1990, be nice to get a similar result from the replay!

We wouldn't though, as there will be no replay. With penalties instead, Palace would have as good a chance as us of winning, so be careful what you wish for!

I meant winning 1-0, rather than having to go through the draw from the first game.
