If it's a plain old 3.5mm aux socket a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

For example:

If it's a newer USB type then the lightning cable you got with your phone would work.

Thanks. Is there any difference in quality between:-

(A) connecting via headphone socket on iPhone and aux socket on car with the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, and
(B) connecting via lightning out socket on iPhone to usb in socket on car?

Depending on the car stereo you may find using via USB a pain to choose tracks how you want to. Ford Fiesta stereo for example seems to want to make its own choices and playback all tracks in alphabetical order rather than what you choose.
Via headphone socket you'll have more control over what you want to listen to.
Quality wise there shouldn't be any difference.
Best thing to do is try both and see which works best for you, as you've already got a lightning cable you may as well start with that first.

Having tried both, and being a self-confessed audiophile (ish!), there is no audible quality difference between the two.
