Your acting like an idiot, I didn't join this forum to see childish rubbish, could you pack it in?

I am sure no one else is really interested in your stupid either, so please stop before people start to report what you are doing.

Every phone should have at least two variants to choose from. I would really like to buy Zenfone 2, but 5.5 inch is waaay too big for me. Size of iPhone 6 is maximum for me, as for now the most perfect smartphone in terms of size is Z3 Compact, big enough screen with small bezels. Smartphones should be more compact, to fit in the pocket and for one handed usage, if I want bigger screen I take my tablet.

It's not always about the size of the screen but the size of the body surrounding it! For instance, iPhones have a relatively poor screen to body hovering around the low/mid 60%s whereas other phones have screen to body ratios in the mid/high 70%s. The reason smartphones are getting bigger screens is the huge explosion in social/multi/media use on them. And you really do get used to the bigger size within a couple of days! My last 3 phones have gone 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 in screen real estate and I certainly wouldn't go back to either of the previous screen sizes now.

Plus the phone makers make phones that pander to the market so there must be a huge demand for bigger screens or they wouldn't be making them.

I'm surprised we haven't seen almost bezel less phones yet. If you'd have asked me in 2010 what the iPhone would have looked like in 6 years time I'd have drawn it as all screen on the front, maybe one day.

I am actually tempted to get the Xiaomi Mi5. It really is a nice phone. Watched reviews and apart from the average camera this phone is a serious flagship.

My current contract is done and I am not going back to another. Off line phone only from now on.

It's either gonna be Mi5, 6p or G5.

Massive fan of buying direct from China but I would baulk at paying Mi5 prices due to the total (effective) lack of warranty (sending it back to China is fraught with difficulties leaving aside the prohibitive cost!). I set myself a 100 pound limit for a yearly purchase but have gone over that by 30 pounds for the Meizu MX4 Pro and the spec is incredible for the outlay (QHD 5.5 screen, Samsung 5430 processor, 3GB RAM, superb fingerprint reader, NFC and OTG support). And I thought the no warranty thing was worth the risk at that price.

I would only buy from site that has warranty with a European returns warehouse.

Still waiting for the Mi5 128GB version to become available anyway.

Funny how it's the people who still use phones without 800Mhz capability that think 800Mhz is a waste of time .”

I've been finding 800 very useful (ok on a high end iPhone 6s+). I was with 2 other three users today (one plus one, wileyfox storm). In a few locations today in london, indoors, they lost signal. My phone flicked onto 4G 800 and I could still make calls/data.

At my mums I was with mu kids - also both on three. again I had coverage in some rooms where they lost, again flipping to 800 Mhz ...

At my gym a gap has been filled by 800. Sometimes the change is subtle, but I'd personally be looking for *supported* 800 Mhz in any new phone (ie by the network as well as just having band 20)

Bit off topic but I brought a Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 which has now completely packed in working only 3 months into ownership and my mate at work has a Meizu MX5 and had so many problems with it he brought a Nexus 6P.

Cheap as they are warranty and returns could be an issue (depending on where you purchased it from)

Best to get from site who have a European repair center. I paid £5 for two year warranty. Repair centre in Spain.

Finally bought a Cubot X15 to replace my almost 4 year old GT99, I was originally waiting for EE to bring 4G to the area before upgrading, (but I would probably be a cobweb covered skeleton by the time that happened) and I came across one being sold as an unwanted gift, unopened on Ebay for £68 so it was too good a chance to miss.

I appreciate the risk of unreliability when buying from China, as I deal with them every day through work, however the GT99 has never missed a beat in over three years and has actually coped far better with being a full time home wifi hotspot, than a neighbours' branded phone which seems to constantly overheat when streaming via tethering for more than a few hours. Its ultimately the reliability of the GT99 which has kept me loyal to the Cubot brand this time around, and if it lasts for even half of the same period as the previous one, then for less than £70 i'd still be more than happy.

So far, so good the only negative i've found is that the SIm 2 slot is also shared by the TF card, so you can't use a second sim and a TF card at the same time unlike the GT99 which had a third slot, and this is a step backwards for Cubot in my opinion. But other than that, it works well and performs just fine and with 16GB ROM (just over 11GB when the System is taken into account) it will probably be quite a while before I miss the TF Card.
