The BBC have denied rumours that Strictly is in a crisis due to all the Pro departures.

actually no one has quit because their contracts expired when the last series ended
they have just all stated they wont return (if asked!) and no, Strictly isnt in crisis - why on earth would they be?? I am sure there are plenty of professional dancers out there that would jump at the chance to be on the show |

Another OTT tabloid headline with no justification at all.

Strictly must make the tabs a lot of money - it's the only explanation for some of the ridiculous stories they publish about it.

"so and so" wants to / is being scouted for/ has turned down... Strictly I would imagine getting a celeb into the tabloids or gossip magazine by linking them to Strictly, must be lesson one at PR school. Every time I see "so and so" drunky-sweary, non-entity from some sleazy reality show "is in talks with Strictly producers" I just think... ...no, you just got yourself a new PR team who are doing it the lazy way. |

Any news on Anton?
I think this rotation of pros is a good thing. More talented dancers get their chance and we get a variety.

Most interesting thing about this is that a tiny fan website broke the story of Tristan's leaving.

I'm sure that Anton is just hanging around until he gets his invite to the judging panel. He could have left on a high after getting to the final (at last), but I'm sure that if he wants to stay he will be there. Some with Brendan.

How did I know youd say that? I posted an answer to this yesterday so have a look there if you haven't already. Lets just say I don't think he's going anywhere so that's good news as that would be the 1 thing that would make me stop watching. Its almost like Anton knows how to give me the giggles on Saturdays
Its great to know that you can be relied upon for good news John, Anton always tickles my funny bone on a Saturday night too, he puts a smile on the face of millions in the comfort of their own homes, that is why he is loved so much. |

It takes a lot to get me to smile much but he just gets my funny bone too every Saturday night. Hence why I vote for him loads on speed dial every week. Hes mentioned in on Tellymix if you have a look the article is titled something like Anton to remain on Strictly Come Dancing or something similar so look there Terry
Also if you theres something you need to know about Anton that requires a fan answer then feel free to just ask me or PM me if you want![]() I'm no stranger to speed dial voting where Anton is concerned John. I didn't know that he has been mentioned on Tellymix, thanks for that I will take a look. There is something that I have been wondering about John, how does Anton stay so Amazingly fit, he looked incredibly lean and raring to go this series, unlike his good friend who was sporting quite an ample spare tyre and seemed very lethargic and disinterested in the show. |

Anton could replace Len as the token straight male on the panel.
But he would have to learn how to pickle his walnuts first. |

Right my guess would be if you are referring to Brendan he probably wasn't happy at being given a duffer, had, had enough and realising she wasn't going to be good he stopped trying with her and in effect gave up, Our friend on the other had was raring to go this year because he had his best partner this decade easily and a contender with potential, he probably also wanted to prove to those who think he cant dance that he could, that's my guess and hopefully this year he may get another person of the same ability to make up for all the duffers he's had he would have at least another couple of years of potential contestants if they were going to make it equal the amount of times he gets contenders and duffers. That's only my prediction Terry What do you think for answering your own question? Where you thinking something similar to me or something different?
That's a good theory John, but Anton looked really lean and raring to go right at the start before he was even given a dance partner, that's what is baffling me, do you have a back up theory as to why he is so fit, thank you for your first answer. |

Maybe he had a more healthy lifestyle and Brendan may have eaten what he liked and not done as much excersise as Anton therefore making him feel more pumped up and raring. What were your thoughts Terry?
That's probably it John, I can just imagine Anton going to the gym and eating healthily, that's how he must of got his six pack, he certainly didn't get it at a pie shop that's for sure. |
