Denying it to who? Simon Cowell? 'Cause I think he's likely to be the only one delusional enough to think it was "in crisis", and that's just wishful thinking.

SCD is not in crisis. It's just that the departures from last year are more high profile because Kristina and Ola went to the press. This is the beeb's top show. No way is it at crisis point ye.

That's probably it John, I can just imagine Anton going to the gym and eating healthily, that's how he must of got his six pack, he certainly didn't get it at a pie shop that's for sure.
yeah then the energy and raring to go was boosted when he found he didn't get the duffer prize for a change. Id say Pasha and Karen and Ola got them

I have always liked Pasha but he is not a key player like Anton, while Anton remains fit and raring to go the show will never be in crisis, in any event Anton is pencilled in for Sir Bruces role when the GP experiment becomes tiresome.

Yeah I'm the same no one can replace Anton and as far as I'm aware he has quite a large fanbase and it has being known for the last few years to keep him in the show as long as he has even if his celeb hasn't being the best. Example Ann and Judy got further than what their dance ability surgests they should have got. Anton's fanbase has being known to save his celebs, if there is a Anton fanclub whoever finds it 1st should alert the other person

I have heard many people comment upon Antons impressively large fanbase, I remember well when Ann was on Strictly, she was very popular with voting viewers at home.

I agree John, whoever discovers Antons fanclub first should indeed alert the other person.

I wonder what Anton gets up to when Strictly is not on TV ?

I would have thought a fan like you would know he's currently on tour with Erin.

I am an Anton fan but I didn't know that, thank you.

Any idea what part of the country he is in at the moment ?

I found Anton less annoying dancing with Katie than I did in previous years. The "comedy" was diluted slightly because he actually had to make an effort. Just please for the love of God will people stop suggesting he would make a good presenter of the show. It would become Strictly Come Anton and (no disrespect Terry) that would be horrific.

Yeah I'm going to watch him at York on Saturday. Also he was on holiday of my lifetime with Len. Did you see that when Len took him to Blackpool?

Omg don't say I've missed another show with Anton in, was it a good watch John ?

Thank you Steve, I would like to take a peek but it might come across as a bit stalkerish so I will be strong and resist.

Yep, there's only one Saturday evening entertainment show on the autumn schedule that's in crisis, and it ain't Strictly

Advice to Simon Cowell: Blag yourself a nearly new dancing teapot (used in just one performance and one dance-off), it might pull in a few more viewers for the X-Factor

So if you had a dancing teapot featured in Bake Off (e.g. when Mary and Paul are having a cup of tea and eating the proper version of the technical challenge), would it be the most watched TV show ever?????

Strictly may not be in crisis due to the number of pros leaving but I do wish they'd return to the old days of wonderful pro dances with no props, pros having more control over music choice and choreography and showing more training instead of the dire X Factor style scripted VTs. Banish backing dancers and can we go back to all the ladies wearing gorgeous gowns and the men in proper trousers! No recycled ratty wigs. Random perhaps but I'd also love to see them walk out from behind the curtain again when they take their places on the floor

As an aside I see Anton is involved with the Sports Relief event at the London Aquatics Centre this evening, I'll be tuning in

Interesting snipped, saw Jodie Prenger doing "Tell Me on a Sunday" at Grimsby on Friday,
they did a Q&A in the second half - and one of the questions was "Does she know Kevin (Clifton) from Grimsby"

Jodie said that she actually works for Strictly sometimes "She helps audition the Pro dancers"

So there must be quite a process to go through to find suitable Pro dancers who can teach celebs.
