This is to settle a debate at work.

Which is better? Mars Bar or Twix?

I miss it

Not really comparable in terms of 'which is better' as they are entirely different specifications. You can only ask which is better if its like for like - so twix v tesco version for example.

Maybe 'which do you prefer' would make more sense.

dark Mars > milk Twix > milk Mars

I've never had the pleasure of a dark chocolate Twix.

I've always loved a Twix with the Banker. Mars bars are like an appetiser, they don't taste great and only tease you into feeling hungrier, who wants a type of confectionary that contains Cabbage anyway? Twix is the older confectionary and the superior one.

I choose Box 2: Twix.

True. One's a chocolate bar, the other a biscuit (in my mind).

Shouldn't the choice be between a Mars and a Snickers?

I always found Mars a bit too sickly sweet - the biscuit in a twix breaks that up nicely.

Fry's chocolate cream wins. Mars bars and twix's are too sickly sweet.

I prefer Mars bars - even better if they've been in the freezer I had a Twix a couple of months ago that seemed to have a distinct peanut smell that I hadn't ever noticed before about them. Don't know if they've changed the recipe to include peanut oil or if it's always been there.

Out of those two, a twix. But it's a straight up fight between KitKat chunky and Drifter for the ultimate choccie bar.

I find a Mars a bit too sweet for my taste, I like the extra crunch of the Twix.

Left Twix or right Twix?
I think they missed a trick in not putting L and R on the fingers.
As to Mars vs Twix = iirc Mars bars were just tooooooo much chocolate, Twix was easier to manage. Can't eat chocolate now so can I vote for Rountree's Fruit Pastilles.

I like both so it depends what mood I'm in. The only chocolate bars I don't like are ones that contain nuts and dried fruit like Snickers, Topics and Picnics.

For me Mars will always be the ultimate chocolate bar.

I miss it
Where did they go?

Used to really love Mars bars, easily my favourite of all chocolate bars when I was younger but I'd put them about equal now.

One advantage of Twix is that you can do that thing where you nibble off the chocolate and caramel, then eat the biscuit part at the end if you so desire. Has more versatility as to how you can eat it.

Na, I prefer Twix, eating a Mars Bar is such a drain, it feels like a chore. One bite and I can feel palpitations (Not really). But they're just sickly as hell. I'd rather eat neither anyway, never been a huge Chocolate fan unless I get them little cravings, which isn't very often. Can't actually remember the last time I went and bought Chocolate from a shop.

Ever since they started making twix abroad its never tasted the same, thus will go with mars. However the ever shrinking size of chocolates, is worrying.

I have not eaten either of these chocolate bars in the last couple of months though.

Bleurgh. These used to be good when the fondant was 'set' and you could have a chunk and put back in your pocket. Now when you try to break a section it's a gooey mess.

Mars or Twix - Twix gets my vote.
