You can throw your notice in anytime with zero penalty as long as your notice is 31 days or over and your cancellation date is no earlier than the date your contract expires.
Thank you |

Has anyone got Q for free (install cost) by threatening to cancel? I want it but don't fancy the £150. Sorry if this has been mentioned already.

Just for information ......
Always haggle with Sky & we were disconnected two weeks ago tomorrow. Last deal was 60% off and £100 credit on bill, we had everything in HD ( films & sports ). They seem to be consistent in saying 50% off and £50 credit is the best we will get. Have tried online chat & phone. Time will tell but after going through this every year for the last 5 or 6 now they usually would have improved the offers by now. Nobby. Did webchat just now and told them I was just about to take out the box and wanted to check and see one last time that they can't do anything better. Got 60% off and £100 credit on the account !!! Credit already showing too ! It was not as easy this time but just goes to show that if you are able to stick it out and are prepared to be without programming for a week or two then they sometimes back down . Hope it helps someone. Nobby. |

Seems like the 60% plus £100 is by far the best deal that has been offered ?

I must confess that I was expecting to possibly 'only' get the 50% off and push for the £100 credit but was very pleased with only paying £32 per month for family pack plus sports and films in HD - 12 months contract - but happy with that.

Are they doing anything for multi room? Usually they give you it £5 or less a month after you've cancelled bu I've not seen anyone mention it on here and I've not received offers for it on My Sky either.

Sky recently offered me Multiscreen at £2.50 per month extra, per box, on a 12 month contract- whilst I was mid-term (6 months) on a "win back" deal for the primary box.
The multiscreen subscription(s) would, of course, have been dependent on a primary subscription and have overlapped the end of the 12 month "win back" deal by 6 months- compromising my ability to cancel the primary subscription at the end of its minimum term and/or negotiate a discount. My advice- be cautious of mid-term offers! |

I have noticed that reading the blurb for the 35% discount, offered to me via interactive, it does NOT apply to Multiroom or the HD pack for premium channels, whilst my current 50% off is off everything Tv,Movies,Sport,HD and my 3 multiroom boxes
So take that into consideration when agreeing a deal |

Yes , same here - had the offer as a way of prolonging my tie in to them meaning that my core subscription would shoot up if I'd have taken the offer and I would have been committed to keeping some form of package without being able to negotiate.
Same advice from me as above. Nobby. Quote:
7. Your first Sky digital Subscription Contract must stay in force at all times during your Sky Multiscreen Subscription(s). If your first Sky digital Subscription Contract ends for any reason then this Contract for your Sky Multiscreen Subscription(s) will automatically end at the same time. Condition 10 below will still apply. http://www.sky.com/shop/__PDF/Sky_TV_Contract.pdf |

The Multiscreen contract is a separate contract to that of the main box. Meaning that if your main contract expires in six months time, and you go ahead and cancel everything, then, at worst, you'll only have to pay off the Multiscreen.
Thus, the Early Termination Charge- based on a pro-rata of £8.21 per month per Multiscreen subscription- would then be triggered. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/ch...contract-early So, firstly, you'd have to pay the Early Termination Charge; then, you'd have to seek to negotiate a discount with Sky for the primary box. Personally, I'd prefer to be negotiating from a position of good custom (paying on-time; honouring agreements), rather than from a position where I'd triggered a default; and I'd rather not be handing Sky a lump sum for early termination either, that would partially defeat any discount that I could obtain on the primary subscription.

Just noticed on My Sky 'Offers' that there is a deal for multi room valid until 30th May - Half Price for 12 months - £6 per month.
Obviously don't know if this is on everyone's account but hope it may help someone. Like I say though on my account it's only valid till the 30th so don't hang around. Nobby. |

I believe there is a new Sky Friends and Family code offering existing subscribers a free upgrade to SkyQ.

My straight 50% off deal for full package, broadband and line rental ended last week and they won't budge from offering me 15% as 'you've had over £500 of discounts'. My monthly bill is around £95 a month, extortionate!
Had a quote from BT for the Entertainment Plus package, phone, broadband for £40 a month. Was approached by the Sky rep on a (permanent) stand in my local shopping centre and was told to ring up, cancel the tv but keep the broadband and phone and, the day after disconnection, go to him and he'll sign me up on another straight 12 months discount. I've emailed them to cancel the tv package but heard nothing (I've emailed as I've been dealing with the Executive office staff and the woman who sorted out my original deal). |

Best thing to do is ring Sky and cancel, don't take any offers over the phone, once cancelled log into your Sky account and there will likely be a 50% discount offer waiting for you. |

The Sky rep on the stand sounds like he thinks he can sign you up an a new customer. He can't until you've not been with Sky for a year.
