Tried a few more times over the past few days with live chat and ringing them directly and there's nothing they're able/willing to do to bring the price down as a new customer.
The cheapest they can do me for phone and broadband alone is £30.40 which is nearly £10 more than I can get it elsewhere. It's a pity as there's currently £140 cashback on offer with quidco for a new customer. |

I cancelled Sky in October, was paying over £80 for full tv package, best offer i had to stay at the time was still over £40 but was for the basic package plus sports, so just cancelled.
Have just gone back with a 60% off offer on all packages, now paying £26.20 for the Family pack plus sports for 12 months. |

People need to be saying exactly what they are getting for there money
eg Taking just a basic package, no sport/movies/box sets/ etc for £8 a month means sky are letting you have the same as freeview/freesat but with a few extra channels eg atlantic and the ability to record, its a good deal but not its not a bargain for £8 a month. Also proof of theses fantasic offers would help this thread |

Thanks to this topic I've just got my Sky bill down to £53.65. Was gonna be £99. That's for Phone (inc all day calls), Broadband (Not fibre), TV (Family & Sky Sports).
I phoned up & cancelled my TV and didn't accept any offers on the phone. Once my confirmation email came through I went on the Sky Service App and there was the 50% off TV offer, I phoned up and accepted the offer but asked them if they could do anything with my phone and broadband. They'd only knock me off £5 off the broadband. I accepted but fortunately 2 days later I got an email offering me Line rental for £7.40 a month for 12 months. I called expecting this deal to cancel my broadband offer but the deal was applied on top which I was obviously delighted about ![]() Thanks to all for posting about these offers, I wouldn't have got such a good deal without you. |

The family pack includes all the HD versions of channels within that package doesn't it?
So the HD add on just covers movies and sport? |

Doesn't Movies now have HD free when it rebrands to Sky Cinema? That presumably leaves sport?

Phoned up to cancel movies from my sky q silver bundle (tried online but kept saying I had to call). No attempt to get me to keep them with offers. Just said ok. They'll go off in 31 days.
Unusual as they normally give them half price or thereabouts when I've cancelled in the past. Not overly bothered but would've kept them for half price. Notice there's no sky sports offers on my page either. In fact no offers for anything. Don't know if this is a new thing with sky q - not doing any deals? Just seemed unusual. Also the option being there online to cancel but then insisting I call them. |

The offers just spin round on a continues cycle. The thinking, I assume, is that you'll be more eager to snap it up, once you see 50% reappear again.
Sky are extremely clever at maximising the revenue it gets from each subscriber, whilst ensuring it is able to discount to keep subscriber no.s up. |

Why not simply see post # 464 and get 60% plus£100 credit onto your account ??
I tried but they are saying that deal has ended now. Best they offered was 50% off for 10 months and £50 credit. |

They gave me the 60% and £100 the following day the tv was turned off , the best deals are to be had AFTER the 31 days notice has run
The offer was made on the 26th June to me Are you still in your 31 days notice ? |
