Cancelled last week, got the 60% offer on MySky today.
Clicked live chat and said I got a £50 credit last year and they immediately agreed. Went through the process for my unlimited fibre and that has renewed on the £10 per month offer from last year too

Chatted today and did the dance ..offered 20% over 10 mths so cancelled. 60 % offer straightaway in account. Question is if you press the accept blue button is that it or does it take you to a confirmation order page first. Also as Ive cancelled 31 dys from end would the new contract start straight away or in 31 days. If it starts straight away then taking it now would give the £40 odd quid saving for this month instead of waiting nearer the end in case of a £50 credit and its not worth the risk

I am after Sky Q so cancelled Sky HD and got offered 60% off straight away. I just chatted to an advisor and although they couldn't advise me on Sky Q offers, they offered me a rolling contract and £30 account credit and also claimed I would be able to get the same monthly cost with Sky Q (albeit on a 12 month term).
I did try claiming £50 but they said they couldn't apply credit to rolling contracts, before then offering me the £30 a few mins later .So I will see how much the Sky Q installation costs are and then cancel again if it proves too much. |

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the really useful posts in this thread. Like many others here, I have reached a limit in terms of what I am prepared to pay for Sky.
Could someone please help by clarifying what exactly is the good deal on offer? I have been offered free broadband plus 20% off all other services if I stay (TV, HD, multiroom, broadband, phone for me). The T&Cs I can see for the 60% deal suggest the discount is only on the tv sub (not even HD, multiroom). Is this the deal people are getting or is there something better to be negotiated? As is stands my reading is the two deals are only a few quid different. I was hoping the offer was 60% off everything! |

The 60% plus £50 credit is only off your TV package and if you having the Box Sets Bundle that includes HD.

Thanks very much for the quick reply. I do have the box sets. That probably explains why there is no separate charge for HD on my tv bill. The only separate charge is multiroom. So not quite as good a deal as I thought but still an extra tenner per month less than the offer prior to giving notice (plus the credit).

I Cancelled last week and the advisor I spoke with did not offer any deal to stay (had the full package with sky for 9 years). No deals are showing in my sky, how long after you cancel do they start offering these deals you have all been getting?

https://secure.sky.com/promotions/of...2/secure-offer If you can see that page, there is another link in the 'Can I use this offer on a different Sky TV Bundle?' section at the bottom where you can chat to an advisor. They seem to be the retentions department. |

I saw an advert on Sky Sports tonight that advertises 50% off Sky Sports for 3 months. So if they're willing to do that as a standard offer then they will obviously have even better deals available for those that ask / push.
It's great to see an end to big price reductions

I am really happy with my deal. Free sky plus function for a year on two boxes.Cost of package = zero! 100% off with free multiroom. And I still get Sky channels from Now tv at a fraction of the cost. I know the downside is in a year will have to look at it again. I don't think they will continue to offer sky plus for free if I never rejoin.

Carphone Warehouse are currently doing Sky Boxsets with a 1TB Sky Q box, Unlimited broadband and Sky Talk anytime for £16.21 a month - in-store only though apparently.

I left sky tv a couple of months ago now, keep calling and sending me 60% off, think they offered £70 credit as well, but im not interested.
However, i find it annoying that they wont give me a new customer offer on broadband and phone, they are offering free broadband with £17 per month line rental and £100 credit card, but they say i dont qualify as i hav been a customer in the last year, ive never had sky broadband or line rental in my life ![]() Ah well, ill just stick with virgin. |

Change ISP. Plenty of deals out there. I would never have TV & broadband from the same provider....reduces your bargining power IMHO. Don't put all your eggs in one basket as they say. |
