You get the Sky Q box for free and can carry your discounts over. Just pay £12 a month for a mini box.
Apparently the offer doesn't apply to Sky Q, will have a go tomorrow by either calling or live chat

Just seen the offer on HUKD
Google 'come back to sky' click on 1st link, sign in and voila 75% off and £100 credit, so complete package is £20 before the £100 credit is applied

I'm considering rejoining although I was hoping for a Sky Q offer
All I get is.

It should work if you have left sky in the last 12 months and not in your notice period....you may have to call them as live chat is a bit of a joke at the moment, when I get through it's just a blank screen with 'chat to Sky expert'

The sales reps probably don't know.

Promotions do transfer over though, how do I know? Plenty of people posted that it now worked, so I went online, clicked upgrade, it it confirmed my discount followed over.

If you don't believe me, then get a special offer, then log onto your account and click on SkyQ upgrade.

Hi soda, apologies if it came across like I didn't believe you, I do was merely pointing out my rotten luck.

Anyway I finally got it done. Live chat (when you get through) is so much better. I had agree to taking the promotion and switch Sky back on as the rep only deals with people returning to sky HD, please note I was fed the whole HD is extra but we got back to the £20 pm, after all was switched back on he passed me to the Sky Q team who offered the 2tb with 1 mini box for extra £12 a month and a one off cost of £55. Soda is correct in saying that you will see the same offer when you return on your sky homepage under upgrade to Sky Q.

I took up the 75% and £100 bill credit offer on Monday.

Yesterday I looked out of interest at what would happen if I transferred to Q with the multi room box. Upfront cost was going to be £100 which would be cancelled out by the bill credit - so effectively free.

The monthly bill would be £32 per month meaning that the reduction from £80 to £20 would carry over to Q.

Very much account specific this. My Sky went off last week. In the My Sky section of the website it says 50% off discount with no credit but I phoned Sky up and said about the 75% and £100 credit and got told no thats not available for your account, I said OK she didn't even make me any other offers and away I went. Not overly bothered really but it would have been nice having Sky for Xmas.

So since my last post a couple of days ago - i have spoken with the returning to sky team via Live Chat.

Advised to the adviser what was being offered on the website deal, but mentioned that i wanted everything except the sport (basically Box Sets package and Cinema) which didn't appear to be an option i could choose on the offers page.

At first, the adviser was able to offer me the package with just the 75% discount. I pushed for a credit and he offered £50.

After a bit more pushing, i eventually managed to get offered the £100 credit as well, so I snapped his hand of.

So taking in to consideration the discount, and the credit - i've managed to get Box Sets Pack with Sky Cinema for £68 for the year (working out at £5.66 per month).

Best of all (and I asked for clarification on this), i'm not locked in to a contract either.

Really happy with that result and something I wasn't expect Sky to do!!

Obviously you must not accept the offer as it would be totally unfair! 😉

Seems Sky must have lost a fair few subscribers, or certainly had people drop down their packages, as they seem to be more desperate than ever to get the numbers up.

Got a great deal from Sky today;

Got my "old" (less than 12 months since disconnection) Sky+HD pack turned back on, 20.90 for 12 months, no contract/30 days notice then immediately called up for the Sky Q upgrade, got my discounts transferred over and got a 2TB silver box plus additional mini and installation for 100.00 - cancelled out by the credit for the first offer of re-activating my subs.

Install is on the 8th of December and I cannot wait

I have opted for the 1tb box am I right in thinking only sky sports is in UHD? If it is then I have made the right choice. If later down the line more channels are in UHD would it just be a matter of changing the box or does the dish wiring etc need to all be changed?

Final question, what do I need to tell the installer to get myself a hybrid LNB cable so I can use my old box once my contract expires? Do I need to say I have a humax box or that my tv has freesat and needs the old cable?

Thanks

Some shows are in UHD also like The Blacklist and The Young Pope. Plus documentaries like Richard Attenborough stuff and concerts by Blur and The Rolling Stones. And of course Sky Store movies.

You need the 2TB box and multiscreen to access the UHD content. Currently you can get UHD boxsets, UHD movies and UHD Premier League football with the relevant subscriptions. Check here for the details - http://www.sky.com/shop/tv/uhd/

Thanks both

Is it all down to the box? I'm hoping to just use the 1tb one now then negotiate for the 2tb one next year with no need for installation

Why negotiate now? You can get the 2TB box for free now.

Installation cost being a lot more for the 2tb...which doesn't make sense if it's the same thing

There's no difference in price with the installation.

Those are the standard installation costs and are fairly well subsidised as some existing customers who already have multiroom are being quoted £198 for installation.

The 2TB will give you more tuners (12 v 8), UHD, touch remote and obviously double storage compared to the 1TB.

If you can afford it, I'd recommend the 2TB but ultimately it's your decision based on what it's worth to you. The one thing to consider is that the subsidised costs are there to encourage existing customers to upgrade to Sky Q whether 1TB or 2TB. Once you're on Sky Q, there will be no benefit to Sky from you upgrading from the 1TB to 2TB so I'd expect the installation to be fairly expensive (remember 500GB Sky+HD to 2TB Sky+HD was ~£200).

Hope this helps and enjoy Sky Q when you get it

Thanks this makes sense now, may just pay the extra to get the 2tb one now if I'm thinking of the future.

Any idea what I should tell the installer before he arrives just so I can get a hybrid LNB cable installed?

My installer would not fit a hybrid lnb and he said I would have to order 1 at a cost of £80. When I said I still use my humax box and that as the dish and cabling is technically owned by me he then agreed to put a new dish and cabling. We now have 2 dishes on the back of my house. So I can cancel in 12 months to get a new deal and still use the free sat box.
Don't forget that any dish and cabling already in is yours so insist on a new dish or hybrid lnb or you won't have any bargaining power come negotiating time.
And definitely go for the silver box, it is worth the extra £45 imo,
