You will definitely get offers. Make sure you have your notification preferences turned on though.

There was an offer on my box (my account) last night about me leaving and offering me 60% off everything for 12 months which I quickly accepted.
There is nothing on my account online about this yet? Maybe it takes a day or two to come into effect? |

No cashback offer? You should have called them or spoken to them online and asked for cashback.
Having just spoken to someone on chat, they said it can take up to 3 days to appear, so it should all be fine. |

To be honest the 60% was enough of a sweetner for me.

You should go back online and ask them if there is any credit with that offer.
I was happy with the 50% i took, yes, i could have got more had I waited and played the game, but I took what I was happy with. |

If the OP is happy with the deal, he is happy with the deal, no need for you to push him into feeling like he needs to do more.

You could have got it for £22.70 with 60% off.
My only concern now is that it'll shoot up to £58 next year... |

I am not pushing anybody. And I didn't say he needs to do more. I just suggested that he could ask for credit if he wants to. Brush the chip off your shoulder. You seem to keep doing this every time I post something on here that gives better deals than yours. It's not a competition. They asked for advice in order to get the best offer and I gave it. MYOB.
Free forum mate, I can post if i want, just as you can, nothing to do with your deal is better than mine (as I have had 75% before now), no chips, I just feel when someone has got a deal, and they are happy, they don't need telling they could have got more, simple really. At the end of the day, WE have advised them what to do, and how to get the best deals, it is then up to THEM on how they proceed, and what they are happy with, and I feel once someone has a deal, they do not need telling they could have done better, as they are fully aware of what deals are about, as they have been posted on every page of this thread. |

The OP said he was happy with the 60%, you then told him he should go back online and ask for more, he is well aware of what deals are available, as he has been reading this thread, I just feel you seem to belittle people by keep telling them they can or should have got more!

I belittle everyone? Don't be so ridiculous. Where have I belittled someone? I was just saying that they could ask for more. There's no harm in that. I am not forcing anyone to do anything or belittling them for accepting an offer. It's all in your own mind. They are not fully aware of the best deals, otherwise they wouldn't have asked.
You then said: Quote:

You obviously don't think you have, fair enough, i think you have, also fair enough (we are both allowed a different opinion, after all), we will just have to agree to disagree, and keep on advising all them subscribers how to get the best deals. |

Matt456 clearly stated he would be happy with 50%, and would probably snap their hand off when this offer comes along, he was advised many times by you and others that he could hold on for 60 or even 75%, but he said he'd rather take an offer as soon as it's 50% or more, and not hold it out.
You then said: Which to me, is you saying he could have got more. He was fully aware of the deals, as you had already told him, so you were not merely advising of a better deal because they didn't know about it, as you had already told them (and he had responded to them), so in my opinion, he was happy and you belittled him saying he should have got more. You obviously don't think you have, fair enough, i think you have, also fair enough (we are both allowed a different opinion, after all), we will just have to agree to disagree, and keep on advising all them subscribers how to get the best deals. |

It is not fair enough for you to say I have belittled someone and I am offended by that remark. To belittle means to put down, or to make another person feel as though they aren't important. Saying mean things about another person literally makes them feel "little." I have never said anything mean to or about someone to make them feel this way. In fact you have done exactly what you accuse me of by saying I belittled someone.
That's how i would feel, so i have pointed it out, that is my opinion, you don't have to like it, but that is how I would feel. This is now taking the thread off topic, so I won't enter into a discussion on it, just bear in mind others feelings when they say they have got a good deal, that was all i was saying. |

Well, if i had got myself a deal, and posted on here, feeling all happy, and then came back on here to see someone saying i could have done better, I would myself feel deflated and belittled by it.

You will probably be able to negotiate a deal with them again next year. Everyone else on here has every year.

Yeah, I guess not being in a contract and having 50% off for a year is good and likely to give me more of a chance next year right?

Definitely. It's a good idea to give notice to quit and then wait until closer to your cut off date if you want to get an offer of 60% off. And if you can live without Sky for a few days you will probably get an offer of 75% off shortly after you've left Sky. Plus always ask if there is any cashback credit on offer as they usually don't tell you about that unless you ask.
I know to get this I spoke to cancellations on chat, then they put me through to the comeback dept or something on chat, who could give me the offer. |

I need to avoid the 50% increase month though at the end of this new term. The new 12 months 50% offer begins 7th December 2016 - 2017, therefore when do I give notice to cancel, or speak to the cancellation dept. to avoid this increased amount?

I know to get this I spoke to cancellations on chat, then they put me through to the comeback dept or something on chat, who could give me the offer. Although you are not always in a new 12 month contract on the 50% deal, sometimes they tell you that you are (they told me I was), but when i phoned about something else 4 months later, I asked how long I had left on my contract, and was told I wasn't in contract. So I gave notice again to get a new deal, and once sorted, upgraded to SkyQ, as they had started moving discounts across. |
