Really enjoyable opening game
Wondering if the well worn tactic of "icing the kicker" had an effect this time as the snap wasn't done to precision Must be horrible to have to go back to the locker room having missed a game winning kick Thought Cam did extraordainary well to get him that close |

That day has arrived again.
I love the first weekend, the bad news is we are about to get colder for a few months

Browns stunk the place out in the first game, its going to be a yet another long season for us
![]() From what I saw on redzone, Raiders are really improving now. And the Jags are also on the same trajectory. |

One of the biggest upsets of the entire season about to happen in week 1?
Miami a couple of minutes away from beating one of the preseason Super Bowl favourites Seattle, in Seattle. Don't think anyone saw this coming. |

Excellent, my jinx worked. AFC East goes 0-3 when they had the chance to get a jump on the Pats who face an almost impossible task tonight in Arizona without Brady and Gronk (and two starting Offensive Linemen, their starting RB and leading DE). What a break for the Pats.

Such an awesome start to the season, some crazy plays and games. That Rodgers to Adam's TD against the Jags was ridiculous, unbelievable throw and catch. Anxious wait now until we play tonight against the Redskins. |

Watching the Raiders go for 2 at the end was horrible. I was thinking its the wrong decision, we are throwing the game away, And then the penalty for excesive celebration I was like, great we have gifted the Saints a field goal.
So happy to be wrong |

At lest it's by design this time. The Browns have a long term plan and might just have the right people in place to implement it. They knew they were going to be bad this year and have been stockpiling draft picks like crazy. Can't fix decades of stink in one season.
Wentz looked miles better than RG3 yesterday, although to be fair he was playing against such a lame Brown defence. |

Great start to the season
Kudos to the Raiders for going for 2 Lots of kicks missed yesterday as well. Even the usually dependable Nick Folk missed 2

Have really enjoyed all the games I've seen so far and pleased my Pats snuck the win. I think it's a wide-open season this time round. Obviously very early days but there are a lot of teams that look like they've really improved. Having watched Hard Knocks I'm interested to se how the Rams do tonight. I have a feeling it'll be a hard season for them.

The Rams are playing with all the hallmarks of a team going 2-14 this season. This is awful.

The BBC "highlights" programme is as bad as ever. Too many "talking heads" and not enough action. It's another example of the BBC mantra of dumbing down.
It was better when they put the Monday night game on the red button in full with the USA commentary. They at least treated the viewers as adults. |

Just caught up with thr Rams game - ouch. Not a great way to start and with 5 out of the first 7 games on the road they look like early contenders for the worst team in the league.

That win over Miami was a lot squeakier than I was expecting, although when Stills dropped that certain TD catch it wasn't going to be their day. Quote:

The contract probably limits how much they can actually show in terms of number of games and minutes per game. They are probably forced to pad just to make up a decent length of program.

But we've gone from the whole Monday night game, which could be four hours on the red button, to what we've had for the last two years. Sod all. Some contract! and there's me thinking the NFL wanted to promote American football in the UK? Maybe they're now thinking it's time to make some money out of UK TV? |
