Interesting.... I don't think Plymouth has any EE 800MHz 4G live as yet. I've certainly not seen it. I have seen 2600MHz though... Nice
I'm on EE. Can anyone explain to me how I can discover if my HTC 620 is picking up EE 800MHz 4G?
Is there some way of scrolling through the mobile to find this out...and what words/numbers should I be looking for?
Thanks.

Download G-NetTrack from the Google Play Store (the free version) if the cell id is 12,13,14 then it's 800
Limited rollout. Probably used just to fill in when they need the coverage but can't get another mast done in the area. Not on properly in most areas yet.
It is fairly widespread at the moment in terms of coverage but most of the time you won't see it - yet

Meant to ask whether you'd seen any in Manchester?
I've picked it up in London, Birmingham, Leeds etc, but I'm still yet to discover it in Manchester.

Not seen much in the city centre, maybe 1 mast? Seen a fair bit in Greater Manc though. I'll take a 800 locked phone into the city at some point this week and walk around and see if I can find anything
I've seen it near Ashford in Kent, and on my local mast near Folkestone it's set up as the secondary carrier in a carrier aggregation with 1800 as primary.
Currently trialling the LG G5 (Nice phone!) so been playing with its ability to fix the band on 4G.
I can see 4G on 800 if I search but unable to connect to it here. I tried in a few other locations local to me and sometimes it appears in the network scan but i can never connect to it either. I assume the G5 has no access to it currently? I tried a Mobile Broadband SIM as well and had the same issue.

There's quite a few live EE 800MHz masts in Hull:
National Avenue is L08, L18, L26
Two blocks of flats East of Kingswood. One appears L08, L18 and the other L08, L18, L26

Are these at full power or at lower power and just doing CA?

That's the thing - everywhere I've seen it around here, all other technologies are present at good signal levels (except 2600 in some instances), so they're using it for more than just filling in blackspots. It looks like part of the proper rollout to me.

Could be load balancing to make use of all the rolled out spectrum. I'd expect that in areas where 800 has also been enabled for CA.
