Vodafone Overcharging
I recently decided not to renew my Sim Only 12 month contract with Vodafone. As I didn't want to be without my service for any length of time I took out virtually the same contract with Virgin and requested my number be moved to Virgin. This all worked smoothly with a little over three weeks of my Vodafone contract to run. That was OK until I received my final bill from Vodafone which I expected to be about the same as the regular one month payment of £10.50. Wow, Vodafone exceeded all expectations and billed me £105.55! I've obviously put this in to dispute but what concerns me apart from the amount is because the number has been transferred to Virgin automatically closing the Vodafone account I was no longer able to access my now defunct Vodafone account on-line and unable to see the bill for myself.
Not only have I contacted Vodafone who have sent it to the "back office" for recalculation I have cancelled my direct debit so Vodafone can't help themselves. Am I the only one to have been overcharged when closing a contract with Vodafone? |
