Does this mean we're going to see regular six-weekly releases of Thunderbird to keep the release numbers in line with Firefox?
Assuming, of course, that Thunderbird hasn't been completely divorced from Mozilla by that point. |

any concerns about future (lack of) development. try FossaMail It's very similar to thunderbird and is developed by the same people who develop Pale Moon. It uses its own profile folder on your system, which means it will not interfere with existing thunderbird installations. you can import settings from thunderbird too as well as getting a language pack for British English; these are available via 'Tools' on the FossaMail homepage;
FossaMail http://www.fossamail.org/ I've used both FossaMail and Thunderbird on this PC for quite a long time now with no trouble at all. You can also get an add-on called Lightning which gives you a calendar similar to the Lightning add-on in Thunderbird. |

I should have said that Lightning is available for FossaMail from FOSSHub
http://www.fosshub.com/FossaMail.html the same place as the email program itself. You'd need to get the correct one for your version of FossaMail - 32 or 64-bit. |

I find these Firefox releases very confusing.
My copy (working under Win 8.1) is currently showing as up-to-date at 47.0.1 and I haven't done anything to get advance versions. According to Wikipedia, that is the currently supported official release. So where does 45.2.0 come into it? Wiki describes it as "Former release - still supported" released 7 June. Can someone clarify please? |
