Having just had a quick scan of the SOS I'm going to qualify my above post by saying Caroline really needs to stop with the public saucy selfies. She was apparently on a photo shoot this time but still....at the same age as Caroline yes I know it's judgemental of me but she's not in her 20s anymore and it does come across as a bit desperate.

I wonder why she did that? When I read the sleazy comments people write I can't understand why that doesn't completely freak her out (unless she doesn't read them?) It's encouraging the weirdos in my eyes.
I haven't looked at her Instagram but can imagine the comments, the ones on the DM article are bad enough. If she wanted to post a behind the scenes shot from the photoshoot why not just one of her having her hair and makeup done instead of that really awkward pose in her underwear. Baffling, when she did Strictly she came across as grounded and confident to me.

I really do like Caroline but find it difficult to understand. She was getting positive press with the news of her new radio gig and then knowing journalists follow her she uploads that selfie for them to add to the article and her few hundred thousand followers to see

Ha ha, too right. Did you see him on Saturday Kitchen a few weeks ago? He did have the grace to acknowledge how lucky he has been. |

I think being on Strictly was good for Judy Murray, she came across as a really nice, funny lady, and not the pushy sports mum that the media have portrayed at times

Glad you enjoyed the links, yes I've been watching their other dances too, earlier their Viennese Waltz to 'Tulips from Amsterdam' (Trent in Lederhosen, the costume department threw everything at him
)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YSal7ItkWw I was listening to a recording of Pixie's version of 'Moon River', I love her voice and she very much has her own style, puts her stamp on it as she says she plans to do in the article. I'm sure she'll give a fabulous performance, hope you enjoy the show ![]() I really enjoyed a number of their dances, but it was their paso doble to The Eve of War from Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds that has really stood out for me. I didn't always think they got the respect they deserved, but doing the show gave her the confidence to believe in herself. She also auditioned for and won the role of Holly in Breakfast at Tiffany's through her experience on Strictly. For me personally, I got really interested in her as a singer and started listening to all her albums & anything else I could get my hands on. Pixie has got such such a beautiful, sweet and reassuring voice and she has become one of my favourite artists. I have to agree there, I just love her cover of Moon River and can't wait to go to see her as Holly in August. |

Pixie & Trent, what a great partnership they had on the show and since then become the best of friends.

Brilliant choreography, so much energy and drama and Pixie looks as though she could be a pro dancing with Trent and the other two male dancers. Still holding out hope he might be announced as a pro again for next series, I know he probably couldn't have a celeb partner as perfectly matched to him as Pixie but I'd like to see what he'd choreograph for someone else. I've listened to Pixie's cover of 'Moon River' a few times now, love your description of her voice as 'reassuring' that fits perfectly. It has a unique quality, I hear her sing and I know it's Pixie. I think it's great that doing Strictly has been so beneficial for her and that although singing is her first love she's branching out in to other things as I'd like to see her have longevity in her career. She's a true natural talent. Hope you enjoy BAT

But what you've written does sum her up very well and I've just listened to Moon River and totally agree, she has a beautiful voice. I also thought that she was one of the most popular contestants with the other contestants - real tears from Caroline when she left. Enjoy BAT - I am sure Pixie will be brilliant.

A reason too ridiculous to post on here?
You've piqued my interest Lou (even though I know you're probably not going to tell me) It can't be more ridiculous than some of my grievances with wardrobe choices and the like.

Yours, Forum Plonker of The Week ![]() ![]() It's funny how differently we all can interpret things as I thought it was lovely when she did that, they just seemed to click and were and still are great mates. In fact I've just watched their final ITT interview with Strictly story highlights, memories

The devil in me wishes I had been around for "Digital Spy Meltdown" when Pixie left (too) early .... I shouldn't laugh but I can't help but giggle when people get really ranty about their favourites going. (Not in Helen's case though - that was not funny AT ALL * grumpy face *) I also loved Pixe's cover of Caravan Of Love. |

When a song like that has been covered so many times, it can be difficult to add something new. Although she loves the song, I have read she thinks her cover pales in significant to the originals. I will enjoy Breakfast at Tiffany's when I get to see it in August in London. Even if it means having to come all the away from near Edinburgh. Although, BAT is coming to Scotland, these were extra dates added on to the tour, among other places that Pixie was not expected to appear. |

I don't think Trent himself will want to go to back on Strictly as long as Len Goodman remains the head judge on the panel. Goodman was not happy with their Cha-Cha-Cha routine to The B-52's, Love Shack because Trent included fake lifts in there for Pixie. Trent stood up for himself against Goodman and I do believe that this is the main reason he sent them home when he got the chance.

A first look at the show, now previewing, reveals that Lott’s Golightly is very different from Hepburn’s. She’s less slinky cat and more frisky kitten. Capote’s first choice to play the role in the film was Marilyn Monroe, and there’s something of the vulnerable innocent abroad about Lott. But her smoky, lived-in voice lends her a worldly edge." |

I really love Pixie's version of Caravan of Love too. I remember I was half watching an episode of Saturday Kitchen and she was the guest promoting her cover which was to raise money for a new Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool via Matalan. James Martin said to her, he was old enough to remember the The Housemartins version and then said you know the original was done by The Isley Brothers!
) I heard it for the first time on the Graham Norton show though and he said (in a surprised tone) "what a lovely voice Pixie has, I had no idea" which was a bit odd as I assumed he had heard her previous songs being a DJ and all! Still nice though.

Sounds like she is made for the part Thom001. Have you read this review?

There was even a lovely picture of Pixie sitting down on the ground during rehearsals on Instagram totally engrossed in the novel, which she has come to absolutely love and it is now her favourite book, which I find really touching.

I always thought she was the ideal Holly Golightly, especially after reading the novel by Truman Capote at the end of last year. She can relate to Holly in so many different ways.

I'm not sure if he has been at all involved behind the scenes either last series or on the tour, lovely that he and Gordana are still such good friends with Pixie and went to see her perform in BAT.

Which might sound an odd thing to say being an English Lit grad and bookworm with a number of favourite quotes from novels and poems. But they have to really have a deep meaning for me. I'm probably far too analytical for my own good at times

So you booked before the dates in Scotland were announced? That's annoying, sure you'll have a fabulous trip to London though

(What I didn't understand was that there dates for Dublin in Ireland, but not Scotland )The nearest place for me was going to be Salford and it is not very practicable or easy for me to get there when it is over in North West England and I live in the East Coast of Scotland, especially a place and theatre I've never been to before. I also thought that since the London West End residency was taking place across the summer, it would be far easier to go down there by train from Edinburgh Waverley and spend two days down there at least. Now I do remember Trent was involved in last year's tour as a backing dancer, before deciding not to renew his contract. All the dancers on the show sign yearly contracts to commit them to one full series. Depending on how well they come across and how far they go in their debut series do help a lot in this. |
