I don't like Pixie's curls ... sorry. I love Pixie though.

Fearne's orange/red dress was beautiful and she can carry that quirky style.

Liked Gemma Arterton's suit but not her shoes.

Dame Joan was Dame Joan and I see no more fuss about this outfit than anything else she wears.

Didn't like Georgia's peach dress or her white shoes.

Oh I love Pixie's curls! Not many people can carry off the curly wurly look, my hair is like that (see disclaimer) sans straighteners and please be assured only my husband and my dog is allowed to witness this.

Fearne can carry off any look ... not terribly keen on tattoos, not a snobby thing, just a personal thing but I don't look at hers and think "yuck".

Totally agree about Dame Joan, she is what she is and she wouldn't look herself if she wasn't still rocking the Alexis Carrington look.

I liked the colour of Georgia's peach dress but I didn't think it fitted her properly and the white shoes were ghastly.

Disclaimer - am not implying that I look like Pixie in any shape or form.

and as Ochre said I think Joan would potter around the house looking like this. I just can't imagine her in joggers and t shirt

Dame Joan is suited and booted (or wigged and stiletto'd ) to do the washing up. Not that she actually does the washing up, obviously ...

Don't like Fearne's shoes and wore enough like 'em in the '70's to be able to say that! and not a fan of the clashing colour shades either, but that's a personal thing as well (this from the person who wore colour clashed tights and shoes. It was the 80's)

Edit Just read post back. Think the fashion police were sleeping for at least 2 decades!

Go on, pretend! You be Pixie, I'll be a 5'3" brunette Helen George.

I'm not keen on tattooes either, or what gets called body art. Unless it's on Gleb ...

No, tattooes and face jewellery don't float my boat.

I see Helen and her new chap have been papped, she doesn't look very happy about it I hope they are left alone.

I am a very big fan of Amal, very good role model. She used to wear some individual items and now her dress sense has changed, dressing more like holywood A lister's wife, really sad. I still admire her brains and work. I am going to be controversial and say, she is too thin now. She was slim before and now looking more like Angelina Jolie.

I agree. It's not a personal criticism about appearance before I'm jumped on but what worries me is that Angelina Jolie especially is quite a role model for young girls and if they see her figure as something to aspire to then it concerns me because, IMO, she is unhealthily thin.

I've just seen the article in the DM, like you say Lou Helen doesn't look very happy to be papped. With them having played an on screen couple in CTM and both still in the show the tabloids obviously see them as a story but I think if they carry on living as privately as they do they'll mainly be left alone. On a side note how gorgeous is Jack Ashton?

Got to love the DM (and I do!) - but how is walking holding hands 'packing on the PDA'? in my day, that meant barely coming up for air!

I thought the same, they look like any normal couple walking down the street holding hands.

I particularly like '(Jack) also rocked some aviator-style shades, and his dimples were visible through his designer stubble.'

He is really gorgeous. Like his dress sense, casual chic. I will have to start watching CTM.

Not my kind of show, will try to watch for his sake.

Very! And he has a dog ... perfect I wish them all the happiness in the world and the privacy to enjoy their relationship away from the rest of the world.

I think it's Helen's dog Charlie, I remembered her discussing finding him as a stray in this old interview with the DM from 2013. She talks about her, Jenny and Pamela taking their dogs to work as there are open fields near where they film where they can walk them.

Although a couple of years old the interview is a good read for Helen and CTM fans. I liked this quote relating to what we were saying about working in an experienced ensemble cast , , , ‘When Miranda comes on the set everything gets jollier and the mood really lifts; she’s so charismatic and entertaining. Jenny is very poised and beautiful; everything she does is graceful and she’s got a tremendous amount of energy. She and the other older actresses have worked with so many of the greats that they have an amazing repertoire of brilliant anecdotes. So much so, it’s sometimes hard to remember that in between giggling and hearing stories, you’ve actually got work to do and scenes to shoot.’

There's a pic of Charlie as a pup taken from Helen's Instagram in this Closer mag article captioned 'Thanks for the help searching for the owner of the little pup, looks like he's staying with me. Meet my boy Charlie.' The Closer mag article was put together with quotes from different news sources at the start of Strictly and is also a good read for Helen fans.

Helen also posted this pic of Charlie by the Thames on her Instagram recently

Love that she adopted Charlie - I hate it when celebs are photographed with silly little designer dogs when so many dogs are in need of rescuing !

Must be serious if he has Charlie's lead - and Charlie is happy about it !

Anyone who loves dogs and rescues dogs is a good egg in my book.

Helen has been involved in fundraising for the Mayhew Animal Home in North West London and one of the stories about her and Jack leaked from SA recently was about them visiting an animal rehabilitation centre there. She does seem passionate about animal rescue
