Jay will need more than fast feet to make a living. A personality would help.

Hmm well the majority of the nation thought he did have a personality me including, maybe some people need to look a bit deeper to find that personality more than others.

See, I don't 'get' that. Always makes me confused when people (anyone, not getting at you at all) say it of anyone (not just Jay).

Everyone has a personality. Some are quieter than others but being quiet and more reserved in real life is still a personality and doesn't mean that come showtime there's an 'on' switch that activates.

especially when he was on ITT he was so funny.

Everyone has a personality - some not in your face as others but a personality none the less.

I never understood the 'Jay shows no personality when he dances' criticism. To me his dancing was beautifully expressive. I was so glad he didn't follow the judges advice and become 'Mr Fake Funnity Fun Jazz Hands'.

In his interviews he was offbeat sometimes but I like he has a quirky side. I have no info on what he's got lined up but I wish him well, he was a worthy Strictly winner.

Years of watching such things as Michael Parkinson, Russell Harty, Terry Wogan and the like has taught me that the most exuberant of performers can come across as diffident and slightly less than scintillating in real life. Even Oscar winners can seem uneasy when being asked to be themselves rather than a part.

I have to admit to wondering what Jay will do next because its not that obvious. Everyone bar Jay and Georgia had jobs to go back to Pete Andre had a tour Helen Call the Midwife etc.

Georgia was pretty clear that she wanted Strictly to lead to a stage role and she has one already. Jay? Not sure. The Wanted are on hiatus still would he want to go back? Does he have a strong enough voice for a solo career? Will he look to the stage himself?

It appears that Kara did in fact enter the sad world of OK and Hello for photoshoots and interviews about her relationship.
Something that as yet GG have not done -
But never mind Kara has gone on to become the most gifted actress - her Sound of Music was a tour de force.
I am positive the Producers of Breakfast at Tiffany's have made sure Georgia's accent will be fine - so not to worry.

Georgia behaves much as most girls of her age do and posts anything and everything on Twitter and instagram, including chips and doughnuts.

Prepare to be really shocked now - GG have actually flown off on holiday together, really drawing attention to themselves, a holiday after months of hard work !
Don't tell me, I am guessing Flavia and Jimmy never had a holiday and if they did it was so secret we don't know about it - perhaps he took his children and felt their privacy needed to be protected.
As he probably considered that need for discretion throughout his relationship with Flavia, especially as he was not Flavia's first Strictly romance.
Perhaps he still does now they are married.

To constantly compare the behaviour of these two quite mature individuals with dependant children to GG is rather absurd - I am sure when they are both nearly 40 Georgia and Giovanni's behaviour will be somewhat different but in the meantime they are young and obviously in love and have no need to not shout about it !

It's possible to know too much about someone else's life and relationship. I have my favourite celebs and pros the same as everyone else but I don't want to know intimate details about their everyday lives, that is completely alien to me

A holiday? Can we expect daily beach selfies in the sidebar of shame? With the name of the resort constantly tagged a la Kevin and Karen.

GG's comes across to me as an Instagram relationship. If you're really that in love the last thing on your mind is photographing intimate moments and posting them to social media.

I really don't think the odd selfie or instagrammed dinner tells you everything about a couple's relationship There is obviously a bit of media interest in GG post-Strictly, but other than that their instagrams aren't really any different from the other pros, e.g. Janette, Gleb (just a couple I follow not sure about the rest). If you don't want to know, you don't need to follow them.

I don't want to know what they're doing every day, what they're having for dinner or see selfies of them kissing each others necks Why would I Work projects and the odd behind the scenes Strictly snap or occasional couple photo at an event yes.

Janette and Aljaz and Kevin and Karen (mag photographer on honeymoon with them) are as bad as GG at times. Any interviews I've seen with Gleb and his wife have been more on a professional (dance) basis, discussing their careers. I'd like to see his wife on the show next year.

They did quite an extensive interview in the daily mail a while back, mostly about their relationship. They seem an interesting couple and I'd like to see Elena on the show too. I suspect it's on the cards.

It seem in this day and age celeb couples no longer value privacy but feel they have to share everything they do on the abomination that is Twitter .
This appalling pressure they put on themselves to share so much with faceless nobodies, along with all the hate they face online, can only be detrimental to anyone or they're relationship .

What with me discounting Flavia and Jimmy because of age and children by a previous relationship (not to mention several Strictly affairs) and you pointing out that Gleb has already done an extensive interview about his relationship with his wife in the Daily Fail we are in danger of leaving poor Ochre with no examples of what she considers to be pure untainted love.

Can there be any other Strictly couples who are so in love they don't use Social Media ?

Obviously if Georgia May Foote posts a selfie of herself eating a doughnut on instagram she cannot possibly be in love with the man she now lives with and seems to spend 24/7 with when they are not working - they are doing this just for seeking attention apparently, not because they actually care for each other at all - for some reason this has not occurred to them or most other people as yet !

Absolutely right. I've said it before (boring? me?) but she is not some dewy eyed schoolgirl, she's in her mid twenties! By constantly hawking out the bedroom selfies etc she's laying herself open to the trolls who attack her via her Twitter and Instagram accounts. Not only that, it feeds the obsessives who go into mega stalk mode and start trying to find out EVERY little detail of her life via her family and friend's social media accounts.... I think I'd prefer the trolls!

Not entirely sure everyone would agree with that.

To be honest, sometimes it comes across as that people are sharing the life they/other people think the should be living rather than the one they actually are, someone i know seems - according to their social media - to be living a life of Enid Blyton type perfection when the reality of real life is somewhat ... different.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. I follow Dawn O'Porter on Instagram and she, IMO, has the right balance. She is very funny (well I think so anyway) and shares quirky things going on her life and to use that awful expression "keeps it real", ie, doesn't mind posting a photo of her not looking at her most glamorous.

Georgia doesn't post nearly as much detail about her life as some do!

Many younger people - say in their 20s and younger - often feel obliged to document their lives, because that's what their friends do.

There is terrific social pressure to 'star in a film of your own life'.

Not all young people go along with this - Jay doesn't for example - but many do. It can put enormous pressure on them.

From last year cast, Helen, Peter, Georgia, Anita......like I said my biggest surprise is still Jay. I can't believe he still has nothing as of now lined up and he was the winner .

It'd be as well to wait more than 3 months before discussing what the show's done or hasn't done for someone's career.

I saw that interview with Gleb and in addition to it being an introduction to a new Strictly pro, I also read it as an indication that he and his wife want to put the past behind them and not make public too much of their personal lives. Gleb's learned hard lessons regarding social media which is all in the past, made a good start on Strictly and as I said earlier I'd like to see both him and his wife on the next series.

Keeping the discussion to career success post Strictly, Georgia has indicated she wants to follow in Jill and Kara's footsteps and seek a career in the theatre. She has a chance with BAT to show she can make a go of that. It's too early to say, but why she continues to seek Z list celebrity when she's hoping to be taken seriously as a potential West End star I have no idea.

Their moving in together so soon was probably down to the practicalities in pursuing work opportunities wasn't it? Georgia planned to make the move to London to follow a theatre career, Giovanni needed a London base while he partners Joanne with their many professional engagements and is then hoping to be on the next Strictly.

That is going too far, I would be freaked out by that.

Perhaps Georgia will learn some social media lessons the hard way.
