BIB - I may be mistaken but I think Celebrity Masterchef has already been filmed and winner decided so there will be no impact on Gleb taking part in Strictly.
Gleb was such a big hit last year on SCD and on the Tour I doubt TPTB will let him go.”

I agree and as poor old Oti didn't have a chance to shine they will want to "showcase" (DM alert!) their shiny new star.

Morning Ochre How is the new house? Are you all settled in?

That happened to me as well. I thought I'd been banned for being too positive

It's probably because the board has come to life a bit and we've actually got something to discuss!

Hi Lou All settled in thanks although always more to do!

Ah Gleb I was prepared for it after the hints elsewhere but it's still a real shame, he and his creativity will be missed!

It's great to finally have the pro lineup though and I'm excited particularly that Aljaz, Natalie and Joanne are in, can't wait to see who they're partnered with

That's good news Ochre, moving house is stress central!

Yes, I am glad they're back as well. Natalie definitely deserves a good celeb this year! I hope Oti gets a goody as well, I thought she was fantastic last year and it was such a shame she went early.

Helen has posted some lovely photos of her holiday in Sienna

I am really interested to know why you thought Oti was fantastic - surely if she had worked a little harder with Anthony Ogogo he would not have gone so early !
After that she appeared in the pro dances where I couldn't see that she was in any way exceptional - I don't think her personality shone out either so your endorsement of her leaves me puzzled.
Did I miss something ?

I totally agree about Natalie - I hope she gets someone really good this year.

Yes, if only Anton had worked a little harder Anne Widdecombe could have picked up that glitterball. Did you know that Anthony had a shoulder injury?

Why do I like Oti? Because she is a beautiful dancer, she had a sparkly bubbly personality and she is a really hard worker which is why she is not high profile on social media. I like all the pros and celebrities who put their work first rather than promoting their "personalities" or private lives.

Who knows why people take more to one person than another that's life and what makes public votes interesting I could ask why people squee over pro's that I find distinctly bland and average - but it's really not worth it. They do and that's up to them.

I thought Oti was fabulous and - given that her partner only had one functioning arm and was (rightly) extremely protective of the injured wing - both taught and choreographed around the limitations extremely well and possibly kept him in a week or so longer than he would have been under normal circumstances.

I don't think his early exit was anything to do with Oti but more to do with the Strictly voters not wanting to be responsible for wrecking the career of another Olympic hopeful.

Right that explains it then - I thought you really had found something amazing about her other than her not getting much publicity.
On the few occasions she appeared on ITT I totally missed the bubbly personality - I must have blinked.
Presumably anyone who appears on Strictly who the tabloids ignore will get your endorsement then - regardless their ability or talent.
It is odd that someone who spends such a lot of time posting on a forum about pro dancers and celebs who appear on Strictly has such a horror of social media - where else do you get fed your information ?
This hatred of anyone with a high profile is becoming a phobia

I really felt she could have worked harder to find choreography which protected his injury.
I dont dislike the woman I just find calling her 'fabulous' after her limited contribution to last season's Strictly bizarre.
Did she dance particularly brilliantly in the pro dances ?
If so it completely passed me by, like anyone hired to do Strictly she was competent - can you tell me where and in which routines her genius shone through ?

* Stands up and applauds * Exactly!! I don't get it. I am STILL perplexed about why anyone could be wildly keen on Abbie Clancey but I don't have a gripe with them about it!

No because I'm really not looking to change your mind or bothered enough about it to trawl videos and write a dissertation that would be dismissed anyway

I found the whole Oti package to be fabulous - which is not quite my top tier of awesome (reserved for Natalie, Katya V and Erin), but.a good start.

Lots of things about other Strictly pro's completely pass me by but really, just accepting that sometimes other people think differently to how I do (shokka how very dare they ) saves a lot of unnecessary brow creasing.

Laura Whitmore is the latest rumour - she's a friend of Caroline's so no doubt we would see her back which would be excellent! If it's true then I expect she will be paired with Gio to try and mix it up a bit (much like Artem and Holly).

Good morning Lou . Totally agree. I don't think I will ever get over Abbey's win.

I think Peter Crouch set up a call center with his money and got people to vote.

Good morning Ochre Glad you are settling in. Really sad about Gleb being let go.
I think I am going off Strictly now. Too much politics.

Laura (we're on first name terms already) put a dance related post on her Instagram .... actually it was more of a drinking related post but still. "Trust me you can dance - Vodka"

I will hang around, but not going to get involved too much.
Gleb did do well in the main show and tour. May be some people didn't like his choreography, but we need different sryles. If everybody has to conform to Len's way of thinking, it will become monotonous.

I see you are moving up the ladder, first name basis with, Laura Whitmore.
I think she will do well.

I think she will too so I'm hoping the rumour is true. As a friend of Caroline's, she's sure to like a laugh and hopefully she'll be intelligent enough to escape the bland hat She's 5'6" so with heels that could rule out a couple of the smaller male pros possibly? I liked the Kevin and Frankie partnership but I felt she was too tall to be partnered with him at times.

Lou did you see ITT's 'Strictly Come Dining' with Oti, Natalie and Ola, the clip showing Oti's starter was hilarious Love her.

And she got to dance with Howard Linked for Oti and Joanne looking fierce as well as for a quick glimpse of Aljaz, Gleb and then Howard, the fashion and a giggle on a very wet and windy afternoon

Thanks for the heads up on Helen's photos, beautiful. Love the one of her and Jack

Hi Sarah, thank you Hope the wedding was a fabulous day!

I'm with you, Gleb will be a big miss for this series. It should be about who the viewers want to see, not behind the scenes politics and cliques.
