The sensible celebs either take the less is more approach or get someone else to manage their accounts for them (IMO). The blatant "hello! Hello! SOS, I'm over here, check me out!" is embarrassing - even more so when even the SOS don't bother with them

Perhaps she did - we have no idea if she sent cards and flowers.

Emily Attack actually took over from Pixie when she took a break didn't she ?

Did the Jordan's ever make it with the sun cream selfie

The ones I find hilarious are the ones obviously acting as promo and advertising - where they name check everyone from the nail technician to the dentist. I mean, fine, it's advertising and maybe a free filling - but I think my dentist would be totally bemused if I leapt off the chair to take a selfie ... looking like something Buffy would have on the end of a stake ... and possibly not relishing being hashtagged 'the man who hurts me' . Can't see it doing much for business.

Do you mean Pixie ?

I think 3,000 plus people is not so bad - after all teenagers are very fickle !

the Jordans are shameless!

I did wonder if Millie McIntosh was a possible celeb given the recent demise of her marriage to Professor Green and subsequent publicity (am not really surprised that one didn't last as they both seemed to spend longer telling their Twitter and Instagram followers what was going on in their relationship rather than each other). I don't think she is capable of posting ANYTHING without a promotional hash tag!

I thought the rule of thumb these days was - if it's not been reported on social media, it didn't happen?

Yes, I think there are all sorts of 'spam bots' and things to get fake followers and likes, but I've no clue how it works. I think Instagram try and cull the fake ones every so often and some US celebs have lost over 1 million followers in a day and deleted their accounts in embarrassment .

I get that numbers of 'likes' are quite small, because a lot of people (like me) look at photos but don't click like or comment etc. With video views, though, it registers a view when you look at it without you having to do anything. So, with Georgia's video, even if the 67.5k were individual people, that's still 402k of her followers who didn't bother to watch it at all As I said, not just Georgia - a couple of other Strictly examples:

One of Pixie's videos which 420k of her followers didn't look at:
https://www.instagram.com/p/BHRlYIBD...ixielott&hl=en

One of Kimberley's videos which 342k of her followers didn't look at (with Helen in the background for the eagle-eyed viewer ):
https://www.instagram.com/p/BHXSQ68j...official&hl=en

I don't know if this means a huge proportion of people's followers rarely log into their accounts, are extremely casual 'fans' if they're not interested enough to look at their posts, or are fake. I'm just not sure how much you can tell from follower numbers etc. and whether they translate into Strictly voters or theatre-goers or anything else.

Here's another review which is a bit nicer, generally praising the cast but the production - not so much.

http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-...lnerable-charm

I quite like, as it says, that Pixie didn't just try to mimic Audrey Hepburn, so all credit to her for that.

I also think local newspaper reviews were a bit kinder, but in the end they are only opinions from individuals. Hopefully Georgia will get some kind reviews too. My opinion from when I saw it is rather like the RT - cast very good, production slow ( especially in the second act for me), but the cat stole the show!

That's why it's good to hear from someone who has actually seen these things . I thought the production was in for a tough time because they have followed the book rather than the film - which some might put some people off.

I actually think they were brave with all their leading lady choices - all 3 were bit of unknown quantities and it's good they were given a chance to try new things - it's a whole different craft to TV acting. It's why I've never understood why panto is a bit looked down on - it's hard work and if you can entertain a theatre full of kids you can do anything

Many people enjoy appearing in panto. I was actually reading the other day that Vincent and Flavia are in "The Worlds Biggest Pantomime" this year. They have been so successful with their own tours, and in the West End too (Olivier nominations), that I'm sure if they didn't want to do it, they wouldn't need to.

Awww pixie looks gorgeous and elegant, have always liked her especially on strictly I was such a fan of her dancing with Trent who did the most brilliant choreography, I loved her waltz and her VW is one of my all time favourites she just oozed class in whatever she did or even wore. I was extremely sad about her leaving so early on the competition which then left a bitter taste in my mouth from then on I stopped watching that series which was pretty dire with the exception of pixie and Trent she got unnecessary slack during the show and even till this day people have something against her, I think it's because she's just super duper talented bravo to her! 👏👏👏

I think it is not because she is super talented but because she lacks charisma - (and perhaps sex appeal) - that is really what most of these bad reviews are saying !
That and her lack of chemistry with her co stars.
If she was super talented her reviews and her final position in Strictly would reflect that.

As a viewer her appearance in Strictly left me very underwhelmed - good looks and beautiful clothes have to be matched with some personality.
However, to be fair she was dancing with Trent who I found utterly cheesy so she had her work cut out.

I loved her on strictly and there is no way she should have left when she did. She was unlucky to be up against Simon and Kristina who nailed the dance off.

How many other super talented dancers have not won strictly - quite a few.

I use my friend as my own focus group she watches Strictly every year, but then trundles off and forgets all about it from December to September . It's actually interesting to see how a casual (and possibly more the kind the P-that-b pitch the programme at) viewer, well - views things.

Talking about last year, she remembers Jay (and prefers his Charleston to Jive). She remembers KatieandAnton, she remembers 'her that was with Kevin-from-Grimsby', she has no recollection of Georgia at all. Even prodding about dancing table wear just brings a 'yeah, kinda', she remembers Jeremy and the one with a wonky arm and her that danced in bandages with the 'one with the bum' but then comes to a screeching halt - so you can imagine that going back 2 series is a bit of an ask. She can't remember who won , but she remembers the one who was painted green - and Pixie - and Trent(/the laid back guy with the curly hair).

Like I say, it's interesting

Lovely post Ano, I agree with everything you've said. Pixie's such a talented performer and beautiful dancer, her VW with Trent is one of my all time favourite dances too. As is her VW dress! I love that she, Trent and Gordana have all remained close and support each other's career ventures.

It takes some people a while to get Pixie's personality I think as she's laid back on the surface. She's so much fun and with a wicked sense of humour. Seems to be having a ball with her cast mates in BAT.

Pixie's been brave taking this on and has worked so hard both at perfecting the role and the extensive promotion she's done for the play. There have been some negative reviews but a lot of people have enjoyed her performance too and there's been wide recognition of her talent though some reviewers have said she'd be better suited to a musical. I hope that's where we see Pixie in the future, in a musical...with dancing too!

As ochre has stated pixies personality is very laid back an that's where you and me both differ you may prefer someone whose loud and brash (I'm guessing I have no idea of what your ideology of perfect personality is) I find that to be my idea of cheese over load however pixie is a bit like Jay very understated yet oozes with personality and let's their dancing do the talking, she was extremely unlucky to be in that dance off against Simon who I thought was an underachiever he wasn't the best dancer at all I actually didn't enjoy any of his routines, pixie and Trent added some excitement to that series with Trent being an excellent dancer and choreographer for pixie, he gave the audience routines that were not your typical choreo by some pros, he was innovative with his choreo, now you might find that cheesy but I find that masterful, now my idea of cheesy is Kevin as well as Karen God some of their routines and dancing made me put a pillow to my face (Not literally)

My idea of someone with a good personality is not .''brash" or cheesy for that matter - I just like them to have one.

I do not like young women who simper. are insincere, are prone to having a false laugh and are cold with little empathy for others.

I like down to earth, honest people with a good sense of humour - the sort of young woman that the rest of the cast like very much.

Kevin is absolutely a first class dancer as you would know if you watched the Strictly Prom.
The awful Trent is nowhere near in the same league - although he did have a lot of teeth as I remember which were very prominently on display.
