Sorry, that was not an insult. It was meant to be a joke, obvious fail on my part.
As for the post today in which you've been described as a 'hater' I'm still yet to find it. |

Silver lining - it's good to know that things can go wrong sartorially occasionally.

Was it a joke for me to find funny, or where you more making a joke at my expense, of perhaps more specifically making a cheeky comment about what I'd written in my post? Only you know the answer to that one of course. The fact is that you called me a name, and I thought that in light of your previous comments about name calling you might wish to retract it.
As for the post today in which you've been described as a 'hater' I'm still yet to find it. Most recent #1525 and #1591. |

OK hands up - and I like Helen too. Pixie not so much. but this followed weeks of really nasty digs at Georgia and suffocating over enthusiasm over Helen, the awful plastic Pixie and several other young women who didn't happen to be called Georgia
This included links and praise enough to make your hair curl - even in an appreciation thread we would have thought the posters were becoming totally obsessed and sad ! At least bringing reality to the thread for ten minutes stopped the attacks on Georgia which made a nice change. Damning one woman by overpraising another has become an art form here, and nudge, nudge 'look I got a good one in there' must be the subject of all their PMs - if they didn't start these threads to attack Georgia (It is Georgia rather than GG which almost naturally seems very sexist) they would just post their family news to each other and tell each other how super duper they are and how much they fully agree with each other ! It is a great pity they don't use their energy in posting in the appropriate appreciation threads about the favoured few where they would be talking to like minded people and no one would disturb them. Since you ask I think coming 'right out with it' is a great deal more honest than posting the speculation that the rest of the cast of BAT would be terribly devastated when Pixie left for example - implying that they would hate Georgia - I would speculate that it will be very much the reverse, Georgia has the habit of making friends where ever she works and as Pixie doesn't appear to have any rapport with her male co-stars on stage (See most reviews) I can only see them having a great deal more with Georgia ! . It just all seems to be going round in circles and it doesn't look like anyone is going to change their minds. If people want to keep doing it though it's none of my business. As I said, I wasn't really a fan of any of them on the show, but outside of it they all basically seem like nice people who all seem to like each other and have friends/family/co-stars who love them. I think it's been established that nobody's perfect - most of them have said or done something unfortunate at some point (or stood in the wrong place in a photo ) but they are all trying to make it in a difficult business and are having successes in various different ways, which is nice for all of them and as others have said is good for Strictly.Re Pixie's pineapple dress.... As I've said before her dress sense isn't always my cup of tea but I do marvel at the size of her wardrobe - I don't think I've ever seen her in the same thing twice. As for being off-topic, maybe we need another thread 'Which Strictly contestant has gone on to have the most sartorial success' or something....

Thanks for the reply Star
. My only problem with G&G fans is that they get personal with the posters. If there is something negative about them, then defend your celebrity by all means, but no need for name calling. I have no problem with Sandy saying that Georgia is more popular than some others, that is her opinion and she is entitled to it and we never called her a hater. All I ask is stop insulting posters and just defend your celebrity. Would you like to point out where anyone has called you a 'hater' ? Not an expression I use ! i don't call people names - but I do sometimes question your motives and your comments and pretending you are offended by being called a name which no one has used would be one of those ! |

I don't view this like a game of 'sides', i.e. fans of GG v everyone else. Us GG fans are our own people, and though we are indeed fans of GG it does not define us.
So, speaking for myself, I challenge anyone to find a negative post I've made about a celeb on here |

BIB - I think Lucky Lou has traded up, don't blame her. ![]() BIB Awww wouldn't I just. I can imagine some of the magic of the TV show would be lost, seeing how it's all put together but watching my favourite pros dancing live is what I'd really love

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply all G & G fans are the same, it was just that the poster I was replying to spoke in terms of 'sides' so I responded similarly. I know your posts have always been very reasonable and you haven't insulted anyone.

Without wishing to get into an argument over semantics, to say someone hates something and to call them a hater is a different thing.

I agree with a lot of what you say, but there's been a fair bit of needling going on on both sides.
![]() I have absolutely no time for the sniping in this thread - any of it. From either 'side'. I like all of the people discussed in here, Georgia, Pixie, Anita, Helen (I've worked with her, she's lovely) but I can't stand the constant negative things about Georgia so I just stay away - people can say what they want but I don't have to read it ![]() Quote:

You are kidding, right???
Though perhaps I haven't phrased my point very well. To say that someone called you a 'hater' would arguably imply a personal insult to you as they have described you as a hater. Whereas to say you 'hate' something is used to describe your feelings about something, rather than describe you and is therefore not an insult. |

At the risk of prolonging yet another fruitless jaunt around this particular maypole, I would say that the terms both 'hate' and 'hater' are so open to misinterpretation that neither should either be used or defended. There are plenty of other less lazy words to use - and personally I neither 'hate' nor am a 'hater' of (or indeed on) and person on a two-bit light entertainment programme I have no knowledge of in 'real life'.
