He made a cameo appearance in The Unicorn and the Wasp as a butler.
Condolences to the Mcdonald family.

Very unpleasant, his father always seemed like such a lovely man. Best of wishes to all his friends and family, no doubt he was proud to have such a talented son. x

I know what david is going through. I lost my mum last Thursday. At the moment it feels like the grief will not go away. Just seems to be all bad news at the moment.

His dad made a lovely contribution to his lifetime achievement film at the NTAs. Very sad news but he must have been very proud of his son, not least because David appears to be a very decent human being.

I am sorry to hear that. Believe me, having been in that position (with both parents) myself (and I'm only 43) it will get better. Right now you are still in shock, you're brain still hasn't processed the enormity of it.

Please feel free to PM me, should you do so I'll send you my email address if you wish to talk it over.

You never get over it, then again who wants to get over losing their mum, but it gets easier to live with.

Agreed. But you learn to accept it.
