Ceiling speaker in bathroom - amp suggestions
I want to run a ceiling speaker in my en suite from the Sky Q box in the adjacent room (it has AV and optical outs) but I believe I need an amp to do this. I obviously don't want to be paying hundreds of pounds for this so can anyone recommend a very simple home amp that might do the job?
Thanks! |

No volume control and I have a bathroom-grade speaker - quite competent in fitting all that - just need advice on the amp.

One other question. Is the speaker just a bog standard 8ohm or similar job or a 100V line type?
A bog standard 8ohm speaker can be powered by any old amplifier but obviously a 100V line type is a bit more specialised and needs a specific matching 100V line amplifier. For a simple speaker then something like this would probably do the job OK http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cars-LEPY-20...dp/B00SATAEEA/ |

Hey chrisjr,
They are indeed 8ohm speakers. I saw that amp on Amazon and wondered if it would do the job - thanks for the info. At that price I've nothing to lose ![]() Cheers |
