aux in music systems
hi dont know if im posting in the right place,i want to buy my son a new hifi to connect to the computer,the one he has,is usb/aux do all systems have the aux or is it only certain ones,ive been looking around the internet and cant see this funcion on any of them.thanks

Aux is just a line input, it could be called 'Line' - however, many cheap systems don't have any external inputs, so you need to ensure you find one that does.
On separates, you would normally have inputs like: Phono Tuner CD Tape Aux/Line With the exception of 'Phono' they are all likely to be identical inputs, and can be used interchangeably. |

hi nigel thanks for reply,i know nothing at all about this subject so bear with me,at the moment he is using a bush compact system the speakers are not seperate,itplays cds/radio/and has a aux button which when pressed enables you to listen to computer games i think it is built into the system,can you tell me which brand of system i should be looking for.thanks again

Brand, as in the makers badge stuck on the front is irrelevant as it is entirely possible that some models in a brand's range could have an Aux in and others not.
Something like this will do the job http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-CMTS20B...dp/B00DMEDXV4/ And it is from a better maker than the Bush system you currently have. |
