I loved David Cassidy, and went to see him in concert a few years ago - what a transformation! He's now a leather-clad creepy slimeball with and ego the size of Canada.

I admit I used to watch this regularly. Single mother looking after a big family who want to form a garage band...and they produced a few great pop singles 'I think I Love You', 'Breaking Up is Hard To Do', 'Looking Through the Eyes of Love'...what is there not to love about this?

I loved the episode where Keith goes after a girl who is indifferent to him as it gives him a break from the fans and a particular fan girl who hangs around the house. His mother asks him to make a choice.

'I Think I Love You' was written for The Partridge Family, the cover was by Voice of the Beehive.

I used to like David Cassidy, in fact he was one of my first crushes, along with Marc Bolan.
Then I heard Hendrix, Lou Reed and David Bowie and all of a sudden I wasn't interested in David Cassidy anymore.
He was a nice looking boy but his music hasn't stood the test of time. I'd still rather listen to him than the other 'heart throbs' of the time though, such as the Osmonds (puke).
Actually I've just looked him up on youtube. He was a good singer with a nice voice, plus he had really really shiny hair. His material seemed rather bland though.

I also prefer listening to David Cassidy and the Partridge Family's output to a lot of the other 1970s 'hearthrobs'.

I think they had some great songs and personally I think his covers of 'How Can I Be Sure,' and 'Cherish' in particular still sound great now. As much as I like The Association's version of 'Cherish,' which turned up on that odd film Anabelle recently, for me David's version is superior.

'I Think I Love You' is one of my favourite early 1970s songs. For me there is very little to dislike about it: it's a well-produced, catchy, pop song and unlike some of its contemporaries hasn't been as overplayed through the years.

You are bringing back some memories. We watched The Partridge Family show faithfully, had all the records. I remember him and Bobby Sherman being the big heartthrobs of the day with that blow dried hair. I think having costar and actual stepmother Shirley Jones, who has a fantastic voice and is a very good actress, on the record on the backing vocals really helped the songs.

I loved this show but could never get into its contemporary the Brady Bunch and I'm kind of glad now that the truth that show's set was a hotbed of sin has come out. Who knew about Florence Henderson.

The first series of it was quite good - it showed the band actually on the road etc. and tackled music issues. Thereafter, it went all domestic and just became a "Brady Bunch" clone. They also had some appalling child-progidy "he's cute because he can't sing" kid in it towards the end.

The youngest girl was crap and just used to bang a tambourine out of time to the music. The drummer boy changed at some point as, apparently, the original was a little sod on the set.

Oh yes, the ginger one.

Also, Susan Dey, had a huge crush on David during the filming but he only thought of her as a sister, her heart was broken!

Loved Gracie in LA Law.
