I have a WinTvUSB and i have a crappy £1 ariel.

Is there a cheap portable ariel which will give me ok reception?

Portable set-top aerials don't really differ much and aren't recommended for digital reception.

I thought WinTV is the analogue adapter and NovaT is the digital one.

I use a Maxview uhf indoor aerial purchased at B&Q about a tenner (I think).
It receives freeview digital through a sony freeview box. and plays on my computer with no problems. The anologue pictures are fine also.
