Last year I felt much more invested in the show. I loved two of the finalists (Nadiya and Tamal who I had a major crush on!) and had a lot of respect for the third whose name has escaped me. I was over the moon Nadiya won and blubbed along with her and Mary.

This year I feel a bit meh about the whole thing. They're all ok bakers but I don't feel very invested in any if them and I don't feel much of a thrill about tonight. If I was forced to pick I'd say I'd prefer Andrew.
I'm much the same. Last year, particularly with Nadiya but also Ian and Tamal, their enthusiasm and love for baking was infectious. I don't get that same feeling from anyone this year. I like Andrew and Jane, and would be happy for either to win, but aside from Selasi's general personality it's been a bit of a dud year.

A lot of these mains are rather underwhelming.

Should you be in the menu thread rather than here

I couldn't eat any of the mains, the meat is never cooked enough for me.

I'm rooting for Andrew all the way. Failing that I really hope it's Jane!

Sad to think this is the last of the series - the two specials aren't really the same, but better than nothing I suppose.

Evening all. First time watching it live tonight (and so posting here), I usually catch up over the weekend but didn't want it spoilt
