Bit underwhelming because it's been said for weeks Miss Pout was going to win.

Almost suspect, that, for the last one!

Well if Nadya can milk her win for all it's worth then Candice can do a range of cake proof lipsticks.

lovely final, deserved winner, sad that Love Production have ruined it all. Bake Off on the BBC...it was the best.. It will be much missed

There is no next year on the BBC. Do you live abroad?

Why shouldn't Nadiya 'milk' her win? |Far better someone with talent, grace, and a lovely manner get a career for themselves than the talentless TOWIE types falling out of clubs and shagging anything that moves just to be reality TV 'star'

Well Goodbye and thank you all for another fabulous series.

I can remember describing GBBO several years ago as giving me the same feeling as slipping back into a favourite warm fluffy jumper on a winter's day.

I think Mel, Sue, Mary (and Paul to a lesser extent) are to be commended for making the show as lovely as it has been. No edge, no nastiness, no faked sob stories, just people who love baking getting on with it and also being supportive and making new friends in the process.

As jonbwfc said, it really has been a blast and for most years the DS thread has been an integral part of the enjoyment.

As the late Cilla Black used to say, "Tarra everybody".

I made a split tin loaf today and it came out lovely. There is much to be said for making something yourself. Make you feel right proud.

Not necessarily, the production company make the show, and if they want to continue with the success its already had, they would probably want to make as few changes as possible. = apart from the obvious ofcourse lol

Sadly, even if I spent all year baking, I'd never get past the auditions.

If any of the contestants wanted a REAL challenge, they could teach me to bake. Actually, that's my idea for a new show - teach a group of contestants to cook; the winner gets an audition for a new, Mary Berry led competition.

There were so many pictures of Candice in the national press in the run up to this final that | was sure she would be the winner ......... I didn't see any pictures of Jane or Andrew. Somehow that is a bit of a let down as it turned out that there wan't a 'surprise' winner.

Well done to Candice, a worthy winner judging on every episode. The final was somwhat disappointing, it was the baker who made the least mistakes that won, rather than the person who really pulled off a real 'show stopper'.

Thanks BBC for a great show, it will surprise me if C4's ad break littered programme, with Paul and three an-others, can out do Auntie's production.

Had it been decided the Beeb weren't having GBBO next year at the time they filmed this? Maybe that's what the poster meant

Candice was not my favourite but she deserved that win.

They wouldn't know what was happening for the future series when it was filmed so it was safest to say nothing at all.

I dont know if i just missed it but they didnt show Andrew at all post winner reveal and when they were sitting at the table at the end they should have had Andrew sitting there aswell. Not sure if he had sour grapes or it was just poor editing??

In contrast to the cooking program on ITV2 right now

Well, the thing is, it's not like Big Brother or The X-Factor where the power of editing can manipulate audiences into swaying one way or another. This purely comes down to whether someone is the best or not. That is unless Paul and Mary were biased.

What does living abroad have to do with anything? I've lived overseas for years but I still know what's going on in the UK.
