And why on earth shouldn't she be in it, especially as she turned out to be the best of the lot?!
(Sorry for the rant, I just know what people on the Bake Off (and Strictly) threads can be like when you don't like someone they do.) |

There were so many pictures of Candice in the national press in the run up to this final that | was sure she would be the winner ......... I didn't see any pictures of Jane or Andrew. Somehow that is a bit of a let down as it turned out that there wan't a 'surprise' winner.

Because she was annoying and spoiled the series for me. Cue other posters saying they were glad she was in it blah blah blah. I didn't like her - get over it. This is an opinion forum, I have one, you don't like it, so what?!

I thought Andrew had this in the bag so I was pleasantly surprised to see Candice win. The last true winner of the GBBO.
I'm really not excited by the move to Channel 4 at all. Adverts, no Mary, Mel and Sue and God knows what "innovative" twists C4 will throw at it. |

Candice I liked at the start, grew to dislike her but in the end I think she deserved the win.

They only made them do this silly, boring task in order to feed the visitors.

Anyone wondering if they'll try and make a show out of Candice and Jane's 'roadtrip'?

Why shouldn't Nadiya 'milk' her win? |Far better someone with talent, grace, and a lovely manner get a career for themselves than the talentless TOWIE types falling out of clubs and shagging anything that moves just to be reality TV 'star'

![]() ![]() Normally I'd buy myself a little cake or pastry on a Wednesday to get me through GBBO, but watching tonight I was hankering after a sausage roll or slice of quiche ... my little muffin just didn't do it for me this week. |

Really wanted Jane to win as she didnt have a USP, just a nice woman. However, the winner deserved it ultimately , as she produced the best on the day. All the best to them all, it will be missed in this household

I absolutely agree he was shown on that bit like everyone else and the table thing i wouldnt have given it a second thought but both Candice and Jane had oportunity to speak to the camera post result but Andrew didnt. Maybe that is what i should have wrote to start with to save my extra waffle haha
Maybe he declined a post show interview? Too overwhelmed/upset? Then again, I seem to remember he didn't even go to his graduation ceremony, (busy baking) so maybe he just doesn't like that sort of thing. Don't know; I'll stop waffling! |

I think you need to step away from the keyboard. It's only a TV programme.

If Candace spoiled the show for you I'm sorry to hear it. But at the end of the day, it's only telly, and relatively well intentioned and genteel telly at that. Nobody got hurt (apart from the odd blue plaster), nobody's family was torn apart. A lot of cakes got baked, a film crew got bit fatter and someone won a rather underwhelming trophy. The world will still be turning tomorrow. |

Well done to Candice, a worthy winner judging on every episode. The final was somwhat disappointing, it was the baker who made the least mistakes that won, rather than the person who really pulled off a real 'show stopper'. Thanks BBC for a great show, it will surprise me if C4's ad break littered programme, with Paul and three an-others, can out do Auntie's production. |

My apologies if this has been answered before, was the result leaked anywhere?
I ask because I watch My Kitchen Rules Aus (teams of 2 home cooks - knock out rounds until 2 teams are left) and they film two different results. The judges and the guest judges give their correct scores and some fudged ones. The final contestants only find out if they have won, when the show airs. Anybody know? |

It was okay but not a patch on last years series.
Personally I think the BBC did the right thing not entering a bidding war, Its going out on a high and everyone involved left people wanting more, The Creation C4 will come up with wont be anything like the current format, If they try its going to just highlight the fact 3 of the most popular faces aren't there anymore. |

Class of 2015
Don't forget to watch tonight at 8pm for the Class of 2015 - a catch up on last year's series and updates on what they're all up to now...

Well, let's think about this for a sec. Nadiya was prettier than Candice and was one of the most popular winners of the show. Do YOU think people were jealous of how Candice looked?
I think it's fine for someone not to like Candice and I agree it doesn't all boil down to jealousy but I can't see anyone giving a reason beyond "she pouts" (she doesn't, she purses her lips and it's obviously an involuntary action). I didn't like Ruby in her year but it had nothing to do with her looks - I disliked her self-deprecating manner. |

I think we all knew it would be Candice!
wanted Jane though. It's been a fairly good series, though not up to the standard of last years but I think the poaching news put a damper on things imo. Would have preferred the final challenge to be something show stopping like a wedding cake etc rather than picnic food . Feels sad as it's the last normal GBBO as week know it F U Love Productions yay loads of adverts now interrupting the nice flow ,45 minutes of show time, wahoo!! NOT!

Candice looked quite different when at home
She was the best, a well deserved winner. But it wasn't my kind of a showstopper. I wanted a real showstopper, something big and spectacular not a basket of food. Not mentioning 5 hours of baking and running around must have been quite intense and exhausting.
