Not turning on the oven was a bad mistake but he's got away with it.

It is ridiculous they do not get time for the cakes to cool.

There should be a timeframe for completion of the cooking time. Then everyone must stop.
Then another timeframe for decoration / filling etc.
How can you make icing work on a hot bake??

I wonder if they take account of the fact that their home ovens probably bake at a different temp/speed to the ones in the tent.

But Beeb think it makes better telly.
I guess they must do.
Have to say I disagree.

I can't see anyone other than Jane winning the whole thing to be honest. A lot of them are wavering around the bottom! I expect Jane, Andrew & Candice will be in the top 3.

I think the standard of baker really dropped when it switched to BBC1

The BBC aren't directing it, nor are they producing it (as recent events have emphasised). How long they get is nothing to do with anyone at the Beeb. The time given for each challenge is entirely down to the production team. Part of the point of the competition is to be able to work under time pressure. Sometimes they do misjudge it (the final wedding cake challenge a few years ago does spring to mind) but it's part of the deal.

White chocolate samosas? Eek. Not keen on white chocolate.

'Tom and Andrew prefer things... a little wetter.'

Both are fans of lube I suspect.

Candice is BBC Eye Candy.
I have noticed that some of her less desirable bakes haven't had much comment that we've seen.

Gotta wonder how long Val will survive. Rav has technically had a worse week (so far) but Val has basically flirted with danger every single week (apart from Batter week).
