Will The X factor USA return?

Now that American idol is ending there is a big gap for a talent show over in the states, I know that idol was losing viewers and isn't the powerhouse it once was.

Could you see the X factor return?

I could and I think that Louis tomlinson being linked to the show over here could help him get a role on the American judging panel.

Simon did say that it would return at some point.

I could see a panel include
Louis tomlinson
Nicole shcherzinger
Simon Cowell
And Ryan seacrest present.
Not sure about the 4th judge or even if they need one.

Simon Cowell would have to give up one of his other shows as being on BGT,AGT and the X factor UK as well as the American one would be too much.

What do you think? Who would you want on the panel?

Even in its death throes, American Idol is doing better in the ratings than XF US managed for most of S3. It just never caught on.

It could be brought back, but I would imagine Fox will wait at least a couple of years to allow viewers a decent break from this format.

One thing is for certain though, Nicole will not be anywhere near that show, she was terrible on the US version and was not at all popular.

i think these type of shows are just dieing simple as.
X Factor would be the worst one to return as the editing is absolutely shocking, it may aswell be a scripted soap, i think the viewers are over being patronized now.

I think a four year break is enough for X Factor USA. Seeing how American Idol's rating is now, with the right panel and better format, I think they'll have a better ratings. Totally change the panel would be good, with Simon only returning. And remove the Four Chair Challenge and go back to Room Auditions, it works great in American Idol. And don't get big celebrities, it was a disaster when they got Britney.

in theory it could return on another network but i cant see why FOX would cancel the more popular American Idol to replace it with a show that already failed in the US

I highly doubt it will come back, especially on Fox. The ratings were embarrassing towards the end. It was even being beaten by the Sing Off at one point. A lot of the problems X Factor UK has been having recently mirror the US version (constantly changing the panel, the cheap reality show style VTs and the obvious manipulation).

That's the clip I remember

I hope for that reason they raise the age limit to 16 - Rachel was only 12 if I remember right

You could see Steve Jones just thinking "what the hell is this doing to my career".
