Need some cat advice

I have a cat who goes out in to my garden every day. A cat I don't know who it belongs to has started coming into my house through a back window when my clothes drier hose is out to eat my cats food in its bowl. It's a lovely young female who is very affectionate however I have to think about my own cat and don't want to feed another person's cat anyway.

Any ideas how to stop it from entering? I don't want to throw water at it. It has no collar so I have no idea who owns it. Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanx for any help

If you don't want to upset the intruder then the best way to stop it coming in is to somehow block the window when the hose is in use. You can get lockable window stays so the cat can't push the window further open if thats whats happening eg
window stay

If that isn't possible there are chip enabled feeding bowls that only open for your cat - but they are quite pricey.

I actually have net curtains on this particular window but I am guessing that's not what you mean haha

We had 4 cats up to the end of last summer. My girlfriend started allowing a neighbour's cat in for food.

We now have 5 cats.

If I allowed my girlfriend to have her way her username if she had one would be 25 cats.

To be honest i always found it best just to let other cats come in, making sure any left over food was picked up.

When I had two girls they each had a boy after them who they would bring around, chasing them off always led to grumpy girls. I knew the owner of one of the boys so he was allowed a couple of treats when he came around.
