Sorry my post has caused such a stir. No, I'm not referring to the kitchen help i.e. those that do the washing, sweeping, mopping, etc - they are the men in black. I was referring to those who seem very familiar with Gary. The men I'm referring to are somehow more visible in Gary's kitchen (towards the close of a working night) rather than in JC's, although last night I detected one of them and he spoke with Kellie and Gary with a very heavy French accent.

Summing up, as someone mentioned, the two chefs must have a few members of their own staff working in the backgrounds and if the case is such, then they must do some form of food preparation. I'd hardly think that both Gary and JC would ask a few of their pot-washers to assist him.

I've not seen anyone helping with the cooking on this series.

And as for Series 1, I don't remember seeing them then either (other than the 2 sous chefs)
How could I have missed them if they were in the foreground?

Ah wait a minute - I think I remember some help coming in towards the end of the series when there were only a few celebs left
Maybe that's what's happening in this series too.

Is it physically possible for only 4 people can do 50+ covers in 3 hours?

They are the men with the striped aprons and one of them in Gary's kitchen was an African American with a similar stripey hairstyle.

In Series 1, they (if they were there at all) were never shown.
