I also liked the line "the phone's have gone mental, and by that I mean we have 1 call"

He then went on to say "but JHB would love that 1 call"

He got his first dig at JHB in early this evening. He said there were technical problems during her show, but that may just have been the boss pulling the plug. But he then said technical problems also affected Jon Holmes, and said that the boss would not have wanted to stop that show.

Anyone remember if Greekie Lion was a regular caller to Iain in his LBC stint?

"Where would you safely secrete a suicide pill on your body" asks Iain. In the ear I reckon.

Dr Nookie is now on the phone from New York.

I saw Michael Crawford in Barnum in 1981 when he took over the role from Jim Dale - it's a treat to hear this multi-talented showman on the wireless with Iain.

Dr Nookey's in the house.

Thanks. He won't be phoning Iain any more unfortunately as he had a heart attack a couple of years ago, and has never regained conciousness. Last I heard was that he'd been taken to a private medical facility for his care.

What a great interviewee Jim Dale is.

I just knew Iain Lee would not honour his pledge not to bring the Carry On's up with him though.

Jim Dale was indeed a pop star, even before Cliff. A successful one too - he had a massive hit called Be My Girl which was No2 in November 1957, and another 3 hits that made the 20's.

Iain usually has some kind of feud with someone else on the station (either real or fake) and it seems that JHB will be the target this time.

Hi radamfi

Besides JHB, Iain has had a few pops at Paul Ross.
Nothing would induce me to listen to those two, I enjoy Iain's digs at them, keep em comin' as far as I'm concerned.

I loved the bit in last night's show when Manny said he had abandoned Goldstein and Cundy - Iain and Kath both cheered - result.

Iain versus Steve Allen would be the best feud in my book.

I'd rather a Nigel feud with Vallen, not liking the nigel new jingle !

Hiya Lors, bet your a happy bunny tonight ?

Forgot to mention the other day, the character who first speaks in last week's Clare in the Community sounds suspiciously like Barry in the Watford...

I predict that Jonathan will fall out with Iain in the near future.

Nigel was in his element - bless him - he even got to talk about his beloved Carry On films and slip in his knowing double entendres which he pretends are accidental.
That whole segment did make me laugh though, especially when Iain played the 'sex crime' thing.
I think Iain burst Nigel's bubble a wee bit when he told him he'd used the wrong name for the station.
Nige probably spent ages on that jingle - he would have had to sacrifice precious Miley Cyrus FaceBook stalking- time to work on it.

Move a liitle closer, Sleeps my sweet, I want to whisper something in your ear

Spoiler

So yes, I'm happy. There are a LOT of happy people in my neighbourhood tonight.

Iain makes me happy too - it's all good.

Now we know that Jonathan/Noah is ready for the Revolution with his V for Vendetta mask.

Maybe that's why he renamed himself Noah - perhaps he's prepping for the end of the world.

Iain has gone and done it - he's brought up Lost.

I loved that show with a passion, I lived it.

In the end it let me down.

To this day, I can't even watch a clip of it.

Moving on

Doctor Who has been brought up but I have a better question than the caller - I actually read it in a new book I was browsing today -

Which Doctor would win in a game of hide and seek?

The 13th one.

I'd love him to have Tom Baker as a guest for one of his hours of the show, with the humour Tom has.

Tom Baker - the most excellent, fantastic suggestion, Rich.

Oh please let it be so.

I love Iain's Tom Baker story.

Tom was my Doctor - if I'd met him when I was a kid, I would have passed out.

I still think I would pass out if I met him.

I enjoyed all the goss about the Private Eye lunch.

Ian Hislop and Tony Blackburn sound like thoroughly nice blokes - I could always tell they were anyway.
