TalkSport prove they really are a bunch of narrow minded thickos by not even managing to spot that one coming from the studio nearby with all the time they had with Iain trying to get through and not even acknowledging the sister station after realising.
Biily, if you need to know, Nigel came on air at 10.31pm. ![]() |

I've got a lava lamp - I'll never look at it in the same way again.

I thought Iain was firm but fair with the way he handled Nigel.
Nigel doesn't listen to the station and he's only interested in himself and his singing. I used to find him funny years ago on the Mike Graham show but not anymore. No doubt he'll still phone in every night but this time with jingles to try and appease Iain. I'm tempted to phone in myself. I would really like to roleplay with Kath. |

Just how long has Nigel been phoning radio and getting on air with this routine which never changes? |

I hope this doesn't go the way of Iain's last prank call, the infamous 'goofballs' call to 5live which lost him a lot of work...

Yes it did, and they dumped him abruptly. What a po-faced bunch they are at TalkSport. No sense of humour and wouldn't even admit or say his name apart from saying "I think I know what's going on" then dumped! Who listens to that crap on TalkSport anyway. It's the same old garbage endlessly. That host Goldstein sounds like a poor Jonathan Ross clone too. What did he do to get a bloody MBE as well?

![]() I like both shows, so I enjoyed Iain's prank. I reckon something like this would work even better on a Friday night - Andy's Friday night co-host Bobby Gould is a little slow on the uptake (I say that in this nicest possible way, I think he's unintentionally the funniest guy on talkSPORT) and having Andy setting him up to unwittingly take one of Iain's prank calls would be great fun. |

I was truly looking forward to hearing Iain on Talkradio, a welcome change from the stuffy and controlling nature of LBC. I now wish that I hadn't bothered.
The only word that I can think of to describe this broadcasting individual is childish. The demographics would suggest either teenage or early twenties listeners. I see a future for him with CBBC or other stations created for children because he certainly isn't cut out for adult radio presenting, in my opinion, of course. |

The problem with Lee is that when he's good he's great, but when he's bad he's appalling. If he'd could just mentally filter out the crap before he opens his mouth he'd be a 1st class broadcaster.

Did you actually listen to the clip? Andy and Jason were giggling throughout "Dave's" call, they started mucking about from the off and by the end were clearly in on the joke even though they didn't mention Iain by name. Andy Goldstein had some fun with Iain during their Friday shows, so I'm sure he worked out what was going on pretty quickly, that's if he wasn't aware of what was going to happen beforehand. Anyway, it was hardly po-faced. The notion that they didn't realise what was going on is about as genuine as Andy's MBE!

I don't see the appeal of his sidekick Kath much. Oh, and Iain really ought to stop following that current male trend for thick beards lately. Some suit them and other don't. He's the latter. At 42 isn't it great to maintain your smooth boyish looks! |

It saddens me that people who have obviously got an issue with Iain Lee go out of their way to spread their poison.
Stop being so negative people, you don't like him, that's totally fine, just go read a book, listen to another station, do some colouring in, whatever. Oh and before you start saying "I'm entitled to my opinion!", yes, you are, that's right, but does anyone other than the tiny clique of haters from back in the day really care? I think not. |

Kath has been absent a lot of the time on talkRADIO so I think that has hindered her ability to join in the conversation to a fuller extent, although her contribution to the "restaurant sketch" was recognised in a national newspaper. On the "Rabbit Hole" shows last year it was far more of a joint effort and they were very good. Iain calls them the best shows he ever did, and he even said that the other night on the radio. I would recommend watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86iWBkpy1A8 |

I like to muck around in the GTA5 sandbox while listening, with the vague goal of finding all those spaceship parts and stealing rides to pimp in my paint shop. That way, talkRADIO becomes one of the in-car radio stations in the game.
Was really great to see Ash looming up in the periscope camera, hah. He has the look of a lovable rogue. Though I shouldn't say that as it will only encourage him

Over the years Iain has had some great producers. Each time we didn't think anyone could replace the previous one. It was originally disappointing that Iain couldn't take Agent Chris to Virgin with him in 2008 but most of us grew to love and appreciate Eloise. But no one but Kath could we really class as a co-presenter. Even though the 3CR shows were to a large extent not my thing, It was clear from them that Iain and Kath have a rare and special chemistry. So Iain and Kath became an obvious dream ticket and they had always intended to leave 3CR together for talkRADIO.
