Vinnie returns.

ps the lad who phoned about the Oprah style show for kids is a self confessed Digital Spy troll (so bad it seems that he has been completely removed from the site)

I've never actually seen an episode of the Littlest Hobo. I vaguely remember the theme tune and the opening shots: some scrappy dog wandering about on a road. I presume at this point I wandered off myself to the other channel.

Last night's show was a corker. I tried to go to bed a few times but I couldn't drag myself away from Periscope. Glad I stayed to the end

Yes, absolutely awesome show last night. Also the return of Habiba aka Butch but there was only time for a few seconds of her because the show was finished. Iain did another Facebook video yesterday where he sounded worried about the law of calls and advertising for the station but if every night was like last night then there is nothing to worry about.

11 to 12 was controversial. As well as the TV forum discussion, the Welsh guy who previously got Iain to waste 20 minutes testing if he was a massive racist made rather worrying comments.

I've read some of his DS posts and based on those the ban hammer was well deserved.

Last night was everything you could want from an Iain Lee radio show and it came out of nowhere because he didn't seem to be on form when he started, he wasn't feeling it.
It seems a great show doesn't require much planning, it either happens or it doesn't.

I'm enjoying all the anti-Katie Hopkins stuff. LBC really scraping the bottom of the barrel with her appointment.

Barrels don't spring to mind - foul smelling sewers do.

I disagree. Have you heard her show? She's putting across some well reasoned opinions which have created some intelligent debate. Meanwhile Iain is talking about where his listeners have pleasured themselves.

It's very easy for the well meaning, bearded lefties to dislike Katie but she's doing a good job on LBC. Iain always seems to be struggling for callers besides the familiar names which can get boring fast.

Not always, but he has himself admitted that the lack of callers is a problem.

I wish Noah/Johnathan would call Iain again, he seems to have slipped off the radar. On serious shows I'm not a fan of him but with Iain he was quite funny and enjoyed his calls.

Indeed. Pardon my error.

You see, I'd argue that it's very easy for any decent human being with half a soul to dislike Hopkins, but then maybe I'd be falling into the same kind of infantilising borderline name-calling trap that you have.

I couldn't care less how skilled she is as a radio presenter. I can't see past her preferred and cultivated image and what kind of person would choose to down that route just to further their own career.

I'd actually agree with you that Iain's topic of where someone has masturbated isn't his finest moment, but that's really neither here nor there in terms of the point I was making.

I don't think we got a satisfactory answer on the difference between a boat and a ship. Might have to call back.

I don't think LBC presenters would broadcast extracts of TalkRadio. I think that if a presenter doesn't like another presenter who is on at the same time, they should present a better show instead of drawing attention to the rival show.

It's part of Iain's schtick. I find it quite funny.

You obviously don't remember Iain regularly mentioning talkSPORT, BBC London and BBC Three Counties when he was LBC. Indeed, if you listened to last night's show you will have heard HappyTree quote the famous line "you fear Mike Mendoza" which dates back to the time that Iain used to mock him when Mike was on talkSPORT. For some reason it is an unwritten rule that you shouldn't mention other radio stations, but in the real world they exist.

TV used to be like that but you now have people plugging ITV shows on the One Show and things like that which were unthinkable 20 years ago.

It's a completely different type of station and show to LBC.

And it was very funny and entertaining. Surely that's the point!

It's great that there's a choice in the evening with two completely different shows, both of which are distinctive from BBC offerings. I personally couldn't imagine listening to Hopkins' pantomime vitriol, but each to their own.

Reall enjoying it so far. He's genuinely funny and the banter with Kath seems very natural.

Hope Iain is ok and back tomorrow
