Anymore anyone? ps. Johnloony says 'globule' because he once called Clive Bull to tell him what the Chinese (or Japanese) find the hardest English word to pronounce. |

What was the game? I missed the very start of it.
ps. Johnloony says 'globule' because he once called Clive Bull to tell him what the Chinese (or Japanese) find the hardest English word to pronounce. Mentioned on the show were :- Owen Wilson and Kate Hudson Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke Derek Jacobi and Judi Dench You should get the general drift. I do hope we hear more from John Loony. |

Just in case people reading this don't know why we're talking about him, he phoned in second to last call of the night, sang a national anthem and then finished with "vestibule". Kath wanted to know what the "bule" thing is about and Iain said "He's nuts!" |

First caller tonight is Gina who was lovebombed on Periscope last Thursday, so it sounds like she's now a genuine listener. She's a good caller as well.

Catching up with last night's show and heard radamfi's call.
I seem to remember hearing Iain talk about meeting with Moz Dee about joining talkSPORT before - I think it might have been in an interview he gave although can't remember who it was with. |

It was interesting to hear that and I wouldn't be surprised if he's said it before elsewhere. I mentioned James Whale because I was speculating that talkSPORT may not have wanted to go 24 hour sport if Whale was still doing 10pm-1am as they would lose his listeners. So if Whale was still on at the launch of talkRADIO, perhaps they would have moved him onto talkRADIO to make talkSPORT 24 hour sport. Obviously I'm glad that didn't happen, otherwise we wouldn't have Iain on the station, or at least at that time slot.
On that basis I think if Whale hadn’t endorsed Boris in 2008 I could have seen him staying on for a few more years but can’t see him still being there nightly. I think talkSPORT would have gone 24 hour sport by now but it would have happened a year or two later – maybe with Whale being phased out on weekends. In some respects I think the after effects of what happened with Gaunt and Whale and then Ian Collins deciding to leave gave the station more confidence to go with a more consistent product which doesn’t seem to have done them too much harm with audience figures and revenue. |

...And already the desk is broken. Obviously no expense spared constructing that studio.
It means that Iain, already in a bad mood, can't keep Caddick and another caller quiet. On the blacklist are the words farts, pussy (both Iain) and soggy bottoms (from Bill.) EDIT: This is the first time I've known Periscope get over 500 viewers. It's continued to rise and is currently on 540 viewers. |

Iain just wielded the ban hammer on Steve/Aaron for being a bellend.

![]() Iain reckons it was a prank, but tbh I fully believe that that was an immigration officer! Here's what some of the delightful fellows in the Cardiff office got up to |

I suppose it does make some sense that a massive racist would be particularly attracted to that line of work. Do Border Force staff have three digit numbers? If he was giving out his real badge number, surely he would be in trouble at work? Iain said that Aaron/Steve gave out a different number the second time around but I just listened to it and it was the same one. Maybe Iain did know it was the same the second time but said it was different to see what reaction he would get.

That fantasy game was amazing! Something about the snooker questions really tickled me.
Also I always thought Iain read from the papers when they had no calls... I was on hold while he was talking about the child porn guy though ha! Had to change what I was planning to talk about since I was going to talk about porn DVD aficionados (which I'd just learned exist in a similar vein to vinyl collectors) and it seemed a bit inappropriate.

At the start of the show, there was a four-way tussle for first caller between Richard, Jonathan, Hannah and Caddick. Caddick was inevitably the official first caller, but in reality it became a four-way discussion. Iain mentioned that Richard John was talking about ships and boats on Digital Spy. Richard said he has been on here since he was 12.
